Anil Kapoor shares about the origin of 'Jhakaas' as his film 'Yudh' completes 38 years

Bollywood veteran Anil Kapoor celebrated the 38th anniversary of his film Yudh by sharing stills from the movie and writing a special note on Twitter. Anil reminisced about his experiences working on the film and working with his co-stars, including Tina Munim, Jackie Shroff, Nutan, Danny Denzongpa, Shatrughan Sinha, and Hema Malini. Anil also revealed that his most iconic dialogue, "jhakaas", came into existence with Yudh. 

He took to his Instagram account and expressed his fondness for working with producer Gulshan Rai, his son Rajiv, and Tina Munim, a fabulous co-star. He praised Jackie Shroff for being a blast on the set and Nutan for being warm and caring, reminding him of his mother. Anil also mentioned his dream chance to dance with the legendary Hema Malini.

While sharing the stills with his fans, Anil wrote, "38 Years of #Yudh and 38 years since #Jhakassss came into our lives and never left! I always remember #Yudh very fondly for so many reasons! Working with the producer Gulshan Rai and his son Rajiv was a pleasure, Tina Munim was a great co-star, and Jackie was, as always, a blast!" 

The JugJugg Jeeyo actor wrote, "I also loved working with Nutanji because she was always so warm and caring, she reminded me of my own mother...Plus, who can forget a dream chance to dance with the one and only Hema ji! Yudh really was a gift that hasn't stopped giving."

Talking on his work front he is currently preparing for his next project, Fighter, which is India's first aerial action film and also stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Karan Singh Grover. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film is set to release in January 2024. Anil also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal in the pipeline, where he will play Ranbir Kapoor's father. The film is expected to release in August 2023 and also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol.
