Every year, June 5 is celebrated as World Environment Day with a unique theme. This day was created by United Nations in 1974 to create awareness about the protection of nature.
The theme for World Environment Day 2021 is 'Ecosystem Restoration. Many celebs like Ayushmann Khurrana, Dia Mirza, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit Nene and others have taken to social media to promote 'World Environment Day' in their own style.
However, it was Anil Kapoor and Allu Arjun's post that caught out attention. The two celebrated the special day with some of the most unique social media posts and it will definitely encourage you to do your part on World Environment Day.
As the world celebrates Environment Day, Anil Kapoor made awareness about the the importance of a clean and green environment. Paparazzi recently spotted the Mr. India actor near his residence, getting engaged in a tree plantation campaign.
In the pictures, Anil was seen planting a tree, after ploughing the ground. He was also seen watering the plants.
Actor Allu Arjun, on the other hand, took to Instagram to share a thoughtful message on World Environment Day.
He also posted a photo featuring him watering plants in his garden. He also encouraged everyone to plant more saplings and adapt more eco-friendly habits in their daily life.
His caption read:
"This #WorldEnvironmentDay, let us take a pledge to plant more trees, adapt to eco-friendly habits, appreciate what nature does for us, and make our planet a greener place for the next generation. This is a cause that is close to my heart. I now ask everyone to take the initiative ahead. Share photo of you planting a sapling and I’ll be resharing some of them. Let us work together to save the planet and #GoGreenWithAA (sic)."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Anil Kapoor was last seen in Mohit Suri’s ‘Malang’. which also starred Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani and Kunal Kemmu. The veteran actor will be next seen in ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’, co-starring Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani. He also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga's ‘Animal’ with Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Parineeti Chopra in his kitty.
On the other hand, Allu Arjun was shooting for Pushpa before the second wave of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic rattled the country. He also has a film each with directors Venu Sriram and Koratala Siva in the pipeline.
