The saga about TV actors quitting television in an attempt to make it big in Bollywood has been an elongated one. From the likes of Rajeev Khandelwal to Karan Singh Grover and Gurmeet Choudhary among many more, the list just keeps expanding.
There are rare instances where an actor like Ronit Roy manages to juggle both the mediums well. And amidst all this, here is another instance, where a celebrated and popular TV actor now wishes to shift his focus to Bollywood from television.
Wondering who is it?
It is none other than 'Crime Patrol' man himself, actor, Anup Soni. Yes! That's right. According to a leading news daily, Anup Soni, who has been the face of 'Crime Patrol' for a long time and has also been a part of successful shows like 'Balika Vadhu' and 'CID', wants to do films rather than TV.
The actor mentioned that he wants to do more films rather than TV as he has done a lot of TV for a long time now and wants to try something else. One of the other prime reasons has been that the offers he has been getting have been rather typical. When it comes to films, he feels people will take a chance and give him something different, substantial and respectful.
The actor is no stranger to Bollywood as he has been a part of several films in the past like 'Gangaajal', 'Apaharan' and 'Striker' among many more.
