Amidst death threats, Salman Khan purchases bulletproof armoured SUV

Bollywood star Salman Khan has been in the news due to death threats he has received from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The actor initially received email threats demanding an apology to the Bishnoi group, or he would face the consequences. Later, Lawrence Bishnoi threatened to kill Salman Khan in an interview, saying he would do it just like he did to Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moosewala.

The situation escalated when Bishnoi's aide Goldy Brar sent a threatening email to Salman Khan's assistant, Jordy Patel. In response, security has been tightened around the actor's home. However, Salman Khan has taken his safety further by importing a bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV, which has not yet been officially launched in India.

According to a report from Pinkvilla, Before acquiring the Nissan Patrol SUV, Salman Khan was using a previous generation Land Rover Range Rover LWB. Last year, he switched to a Toyota Land Cruiser LC200, which he upgraded with bulletproof glass.

Salman Khan's decision to upgrade his vehicles and increase his security measures comes as no surprise, given the seriousness of the threats he has received. He is taking precautions to ensure his safety and the safety of those around him.

The car in question is reported to come with a B6 or B7 level of protection, which indicates that it is one of the most secure vehicles available. B6 protection means that the car's occupants are protected against a high-powered rifle, and it comes with 41mm thick glass for ballistic protection. On the other hand, B7 protection offers even more security as it can withstand armour-piercing rounds, and the glass is a whopping 78mm thick.

For the unversed, Lawrence Bishnoi had sent an indirect threat to the actor through a news interview from the jail. In that interview, he admitted that his life's goal was to kill the actor and added that he is arrogant like the late Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala and that his ego is bigger than Ravana. The actor's close friend Prashant Gunjalkar has filed a complaint at the Bandra Police station.
