Arijit Singh has postponed his scheduled performance in Abu Dhabi, citing recent geopolitical developments as the reason behind the decision. The concert, originally planned for May 9 at the Etihad Arena, will be rescheduled to a later date.
The singer’s official social media handle issued a formal announcement, informing fans that the event would not take place as initially intended. The message also outlined that all tickets would either remain valid for the new date or could be refunded upon request, with a refund window starting May 12.
This move comes during a period of increasing strain between India and Pakistan following cross-border military activity. Singh's decision follows a similar choice he made earlier this year, when he called off a show in Chennai in the aftermath of a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. His gesture was seen by many as an expression of solidarity during a time of national grief.

Despite the shift in schedule, Arijit remains active on the professional front. It was recently confirmed that he will lend his voice to a new version of the iconic track Sandese Aate Hain for the upcoming film Border 2. The project, considered a spiritual successor to the 1997 film Border, features a multi-star cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh. The updated version of the song will be a collaboration between Arijit and Sonu Nigam.
Fans have responded to the postponement with a mix of understanding and anticipation, eager for updates on the concert's revised date. For now, Arijit Singh’s team has assured that further details will be shared once arrangements are finalized, and that the singer looks forward to reconnecting with his global audience soon.
