Actor Allu Arjun has been called by the Chikkadapally police in Hyderabad for questioning on December 24 at 11 AM. This is in connection with the tragic stampede that occurred during the Pushpa 2 premiere at Sandhya Theatre on December 4. The incident led to the death of a woman named Revathi, and her son is still recovering in the hospital.
Allu Arjun, who was arrested earlier and granted interim bail by the High Court, is currently out on bail. He has been asked to cooperate with the ongoing investigation. Fresh notices have been issued, and authorities are considering the possibility of canceling his bail.
On Sunday, protesters demanding justice for the woman who died in the stampede attacked Allu Arjun’s house. The protesters, reportedly members of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OU-JAC), caused damage to the actor’s property. Following the attack, Allu Arjun’s children were moved to a safer location for their protection.
The police are planning to file a petition on Tuesday, asking for the cancellation of Allu Arjun’s interim bail. Reports suggest the actor violated court instructions by holding a press conference after receiving bail. Officials claim that despite being informed of the situation, Allu Arjun did not leave Sandhya Theatre on December 4, which allegedly contributed to the stampede. The police also intend to present video evidence in court.
To recap, the stampede occurred when a crowd became uncontrollable after Allu Arjun stepped out of his car to greet fans. A woman died, and her son was seriously injured, requiring hospitalization. Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 and granted interim bail.
