All's well between Alia Bhatt - Sanjay Leela Bhansali - Ranveer Singh

The best actor-director duo Ranveer Singh and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have successfully delivered not one, not two but three major blockbusters together with Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastaani, Padmaavat with of course the beautiful Deepika Padukone as the leading lady in all the three-hit films. This trio is one of the most loved ones by the audience and fans are eager for yet another collaboration to happen as soon as possible.

However,  SLB’s leading lady in his next film is not Deepika this time, but the Raazi actress Alia Bhatt. Filmmaker SLB and Alia’s collaboration had made headlines when the project titled Inshallah, featuring Salman Khan was announced. However, the film did not see the light and got shelved due to creative differences. But, nothing to worry as Bhansali has roped in Alia for another big project.

Reportedly,  the movie is based on the life of Gangubai Kothewali, the story of a brothel owner and her life. And there were rumors that SLB’s favorite Ranveer Singh was approached for a cameo in the film, but he had reportedly turned down resulting in a rift between the actor-director duo and his Gully Boy co-star Alia. 

However, contrary to the reports, all’s well between Sanjay Leela Bhansali-Alia Bhatt-Ranveer Singh, as the ‘83 actor was never a part of this project since the beginning, left alone the question of turning down the offer of a cameo. 

Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as saying, “Alia’s film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali has never had Ranveer in the mix. So, there is no question of him doing a cameo in this project. SLB and Ranveer are the most loved, most successful and most acclaimed director-actor combinations of this era – the trade and audience are waiting in anticipation to know when they will join forces again.”

Well, this now puts all the rumors to rest and a sign of relief as it’s all good in the hood for the Gully Boy co-stars and SLB.

Nonetheless, fans cannot wait to see the duo Ranveer-SLB to create magic once again on the big screen. Ranveer will be next seen playing Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan’s 83 the film, alongside wifey Deepika Padukone. Alia will team up with SLB for this untitled project, and then also has Sadak 2, helmed by her father Mahesh Bhatt, in her kitty.
