'Allow us to make mistakes and crawl back' - Shweta Menon

Shweta Menon and her partner Bhoomika Zaveri were ousted last weekend in COLORS’ Dancing Queen.

Here is the duo in conversation with Telly Buzz where they talk of the overall experience got in the show.

How was your experience in Dancing Queen?
Shweta: I had just started to learn things here. As an artist you just work for few days but as a participant, one gets more opportunity. In this show I could learn the technical art. In other words it can be said that I just started to blend myself, but got evicted.

Bhumika: For me it was like a dream come true. People earlier used to think that I belong to the group of untouchables, as I have leukemia but with this show I got my recognition, and today I feel proud of myself.

Did you expect to be eliminated so soon?
Shweta: I was not expecting it at all. I think somewhere we got carried away with the expectations that judges and other mentors had from us. I just wanted to say that we are not professional or trained dancers. We are two students, allow us to do mistakes and crawl back.

Bhumika: I did not expect to go out, but wanted to win the title of Dancing Queen. Even if I did not win, at least I expected to go little further.

Shweta, how was Bhumika as a partner?
The day I saw Bhumika I felt that my partner should be like her and luckily I got her. We looked like twin sisters and the judges have said this too. They also said that you two compliment each other. It was fun to dance with Bhumika.

Bhumika, what have you learnt from Shweta as mentor?
The right attitude, proper body language and many more things!! She has not only groomed me but also guided me. I give all credit to Shweta.

So what’s next for both of you?
Shweta: Hopefully something good should happen. My only wish as a mentor is that her (Bhumika) dreams should come true.

Bhumika: I want to do something for the people who suffer from such skin problems.
