About Operation Sindoor

This operation was a response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in the loss of 27 innocent Hindu tourists. In response to the attack, India initiated Operation Sindoor, focusing on terror hubs in Pakistan and PoK. The briefing gained historical significance due to the participation of two esteemed women officers: Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, a distinguished helicopter pilot from the Indian Air Force, and Colonel Sophia Qureshi of the Indian Army’s Corps of Signals, who spearheaded the communication.

The operation's name served as a symbolic homage to the women widowed by the tragic event, and the decision to have women lead the military briefing was widely celebrated as a demonstration of resilience and fortitude.

Bollywood's collective response is seen as a powerful symbol of national unity following the Pahalgam terror attack.
