Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh’s Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani song shoot delayed due to covid -19 outbreak

The Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani shoot schedule for Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt has been thrown off track. The cast of Karan Johar's directorial were all set to film a song on January 10 in Mumbai's famed Film City. However, according to a recent ETimes report, Alia and Ranveer's song schedule has been pushed back. 

The shoot for the song has been postponed due to the state's rising Covid-19 numbers. According to ETimes, director Karan Johar did not want to take any chances with the rising trend of COVID-19 cases in Mumbai. The song's set was already being constructed on a grand scale. It will not, however, be demolished or removed. Instead, the team will wait and watch for a better opportunity to shoot in the near future. 

On Thursday, Mumbai set an all-time high with over 20,000 cases reported in the previous 24 hours. The city's positivity rate was 29.90 percent, with 20,181 positive samples out of 67,000 total. With this new high, the total number of active COVID-19 cases in Mumbai has risen to 79,260. 

Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi also play important roles in Karan Johar's film. It's unclear whether these three veteran actors were also supposed to be a part of the song shoot. The song did, however, necessitate a large number of background dancers.
