Jacqueline Fernandez all set to join Indian celebs at the 78th Cannes Film Festival

The 78th Cannes Film Festival begins tomorrow, bringing together numerous Hollywood and Indian stars. Following the recent Met Gala 2025, celebrities are preparing for another major global event. According to Pinkvilla, Bollywood's sensation Jacqueline Fernandez is set to make her second international appearance this year.

Following her striking debut at Cannes in 2024, where she captivated with a rose gold gown, Jacqueline is poised to elevate the glamour. Notably, Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor will also be attending the Cannes 2025 red carpet this year.

Jacqueline’s Cannes history

Jacqueline Fernandez made a striking debut at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, attending "The Substance" premiere. Her golden gown, featuring intricate mesh cutouts and pearl straps, was inspired by Naomi Campbell's memorable runway look from a 1996 couture show.

For her first red carpet appearance last year, Fernandez chose an elegant gown that perfectly showcased her figure. She shone in a custom rose gold gown by Mikael D Couture, enhanced by exquisite Hassanzade Jewellery. Her simple yet sophisticated style included open hair and earrings, foregoing a necklace.

At the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, Jacqueline Fernandez's presence was notable, reportedly at the behest of the Queen of Malaysia. She allegedly joined the Queen at the premiere of Michael Fassbender's "Macbeth." Additionally, reports suggest that Fernandez celebrated Naomi Campbell's 45th birthday on a private yacht during the festival, though this has not been officially confirmed.

Indian actresses at Cannes

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a Cannes Film Festival veteran, is set to return, and anticipation is high for her appearance. Additionally, Sharmila Tagore will attend in 2025 to celebrate the world premiere of Satyajit Ray’s 1970 film "Aranyer Din Ratri," known as "Days and Nights in the Forest."

Alia Bhatt is also scheduled to make her debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year. She will be representing L'Oréal Paris as a global brand ambassador.
