Akshay Kumar to Romance Vaani Kapoor in Bell Bottom

Vaani Kapoor is on a roll! After romancing Greek God aka Hrithik Roshan in War, she is all set to set the screens on fire with her next alongside Akshay Kumar.

Vaani has been roped in as the leading lady opposite Akshay for the spy thriller titled Bell Bottom. A Mumbai Mirror report states that the actress has given her nod for the project which will mark the first collaboration of the two actors.

The report adds that the script demanded a fresh pairing since it’s not the usual romantic lead with a couple of romantic scenes and songs. In the film, Vaani is said to play the role of Akshay’s wife and is integral to the plot line. Earlier there were rumours of Nupur Sanon being approached for the film, however, with this news, all such rumours have come to an end.

Directed by Ranjit M Tewari and backed by Vashu Bhagnani, Jacky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani, Bell Bottom is a spy thriller set in the ’80s. 

The makers released the first look of the film a few months ago, and the film is slated to hit the silver screens on January 22, 2021. 

Besides Bell Bottom, Akshay has his calendar full of exciting projects. The release of the highly anticipated cop drama Sooryavanshi has been pushed further, which was initially slated to hit the theatres in March 2020. Next, he will be seen opposite Kiara Advani in horror-comedy-Laxxmi Bomb, and he also has the historical action drama film Prithviraj in the pipeline.

On the other hand, Vaani will be seen in Yash Raj Films’ Shamshera co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt.
