Ritvik Arora rose to fame with Colors' popular show Tu Aashiqui starring opposite the current youth sensation Jannat Zubair. He played a young musician named Ahaan who struggles to succeed in the field of music despite his anger management issues. Ahaan's role earned him a lot of female following.

The talented young lad is now all set to star in Rajan Shahi's next project which is touted to be a spin off series of Star Plus show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Just recently we discovered that Shaheer Sheikh has been finalized to play the male lead in the show opposite actress Rhea Sharma. Now, latest we hear through our sources, is that Ritvik has been roped in to play another male lead. Apparently he will be seen in the role of Shaheer's younger brother in the show.

When we contacted Ritvik regarding same, he said, "Right now I can't confirm anything as things are still under talks."

According to media reports, the story will see all the kids from the Maheshwari family growing up. The spin off will only address the younger generation of the family.
