Baal Shiva

While we have seen how TV shows can witness a rather topsy-turvy ride when it comes to going off-air or struggling with numbers among others things; seldom do we witness a TV show witnessing a massive delay as much as many start to wonder as to when indeed will the show be rolling after all.

That was the story of the show, Baal Shiv that seemed to be ready to go on-air a long time but just wouldn't see the light of the day. Initially, the show's launch was planned for 31st August 2021 but was later pushed because of a copyright infringement suit filed against the makers of the show. But now, after all this wait and wondering, it an be confirmed that Baal Shiv will finally go off-air this month - namely 23rd November 2021 onwards.

A source confirmed the same to ETimes TV saying the suit had been filed by writer and mythologist Chotenlal Saini in the Bombay High Court. The scriptwriter had then sought an injunction to restrain the broadcaster from the release of the show. He had claimed to have been the first to conceptualise the idea of ‘Baal Shiv’ as a serial. However, we now learn that there has been a mutual settlement between the two parties.

As known, Baal Shiv's cast comprises of Aan Tiwari as Baal Shiv, Mouli Ganguly as Mahasati Anusuya, Siddharth Arora as Mahadev, Shivya Pathania as Devi Parvati, Krrip Kapur Suri as Asur Andhak, Praneet Bhatt as Narad Muni, Danish Akhtar Saifi as Nandi, Dakssh Ajit Singh as Indra, Anjita Poonia as Indrani, Ravi Khanvilkar as Archarya Dandpani, Pallavi Pradhan as Maina Devi, amongst others.

Bal Shiv is a mythological show which will depict the mythical childhood stories of Lord Shiva. It will explore the story of Mahasati Anusuya and Bal Shiv's eternal bond by exploring various chapters of his childhood and path of self-discovery. According to the stories, lord Shiva had taken several avatars but had never experienced childhood and a mother's love. Lord Shiva's marriage to Parvati helped him find a balance. As Prakriti and Purush, Shiva and Parvati complemented and completed each other. However, his hermit nature often concerned Parvati as she felt he lacked an understanding of domiciliary duties. To fulfill Parvati's wish, Mahadev took the Baal Roop and became a dutiful son of Mahasati Anusuya to experience maternal love and fulfill his family duties.
