Tell us something about the music video?
The music video is titled ‘Ro Ro ke Guzre Din’ which depicts the journey of a boy who is devastated after his girlfriend breaks up with him. After days of struggle to cope up, he decides to end his life. Just when he was about to commit suicide, his mother calls him. Within fraction of seconds, all the joyous memories with his mother flashes before his eyes and he decides to live for people who care for him. It is a very new age concept, something which unfortunately is happening around us.
How did you associate with this music video?
Mr Viral Motani and Ms Pakkhi Hedge from Beyond Music approached me for this video. They explained me the cause and the thought behind the video. I always wanted to associate myself with something which is meaningful and impactful. Moreover I really liked the concept of the song. Ms Jumana Khan play my ex girl friend’s role in the show. She is a celebrated influencer from Dubai. Since we both could not shoot together, we shot individually for the song. I think it is a great song and will surely connect with the youths. The song has a strong messaging and a key take away from it.
Your experience shooting for the song?
This is the first time I shot for a music video individually and it was an experience worth it. I had never thought I would do something like this, but owing to the current situation it was the need of the hour. I wish to thank Beyond Music for putting up such a great song with a meaningful message. I hope people will like our song.
Tell us something about your association with One million mask mission?
A lot of people are associating with One Million Mask Mission, where the idea is to distribute masks to the needy which is of premium quality. I am very happy to associate with them, as I believe in doing my bit for my country. In all form, big or small, we as citizens of this nation should help in the best possible way.
Your takeway while stepping out to distribute the masks
I stepped out after ages to the streets of Dharavi in Mumbai. I really wanted to do my bit and give the masks to the needy. It was a great experience speaking to people and understanding their needs. It was not just about distributing masks but also educating them about it. I was happy to enlighten them about the masks and its benefits.
Your video talks about enjoying life and saying no to suicide. Tell us more about it
Yes, as mentioned, we have a strong message with our music video. It is about celebrating life and saying no to suicide. As an individual and a youth, it is important to educate the youth who are falling prey to suicide. I hope people relate to our song and understand the importance of it.
How has your quarantine time going ?
Like everyone, I have been home, helping my family members in doing household work and waiting for the good days to come. I hope things come to normal, so that we can lead the normal life without any fear again.
2 things that you learnt during this lockdown phase?
I learnt that one should be responsible enough to take of himself and the second would be to encourage and support our household helps for the amazing job that they do. With people cleaning their own house, cooking and doing dishes, it is very clear that the household helps do a great job.
