Actor Prashant Narayanan arrested in a cheating case

Murder 2 actor Prashant Narayanan and his wife Shona have been arrested by the Kerala Police after their alleged involvement in a cheating case. Inspector A. Prathap who arrested Prashant and his wife from their Mumbai home, gave a statement to IANS and clarified that Narayanan is currently in jail. 

He said,"The case pertains to cheating. The complainant is Thomas Panicker, who was the producer of a Malayalam film, in which Narayanan acted in 2017. After the film the two became close and Panicker was told that his wife's father had a company in Mumbai and if he invested in it, he would be made a Director. Panicker invested Rs 1.20 crore and after that, he came to know he was cheated. He then filed the complaint."

Prathap along with a seven member Kerala Police team went to arrest Prashant and after a surveillance of three days, they were able to nap Prashant and his Bengali wife Shona from their Mumbai residence. The police had a transit warrant and owing to the same, Prashant and Shona have been moved to Kerala jail. 

Prashant is a very popular name in the Bollywood industry. He has worked in over 50 films, both Bollywood and South Indian films included.
