Shilpa Shinde calls writer Manoj Santoshi's death 'case of medical negligence & THEFT': 'Paise kamane ka..'

Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai writer Manoj Santoshi, who was battling Liver Cancer for the past few months passed away in the early hours of 24th March, 2025. Shilpa Shinde, who was taking care of Santoshi has now reacted to his passing and has held the hospital authorities responsible for his death.

Speaking to Times Now about the same, the Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai fame states that the hospital was conducting a 'dialysis' on Manoj even after he passed away. ''Main to chhote shabdon me kahungi ki bohot ghatiya business hai. Paise kamane ka bohot acha business hai hospital. Mare hue insaan ka bhi dialysis kar rahe hain! Ye complete doctor ki laparwahi hai. KIMS, Secunderabad Hospital hai, jahan pe liver transplant hota hai. Aur pata nahi, doctors wahan pe hain ya hajjam hai, I don't know,'' Shilpa tells the portal.

She reveals that she had come to Mumbai for two days and the writer then passed away due to the negligence of the medical authorities since the late writer was alone. Further recalling getting a call from the hospital authorities about a liver being arranged for Manoj for the liver transplant, the actress states that she was very happy and could not sleep the entire night since she had to deposit the payment in the morning. However, at around 6 am in the morning, she got a call informing that Manoj has slipped into coma.

''Surgery ke liye anti stomach aur anaesthesia ke liye jo hota hai na, raat ko hi sab kuchh bannd kar diya. Jo liver ke liye diya jata hai, wo bhi saara leak ho gaya. Sister ne bola sorry to maine kaha 'what sorry'!,'' Shilpa adds.

She further accuses the hospital authorities of performing dylasis on Manoj even after he passed away and said, ''I asked if they wanted his kidney, thinking there's no family for him. They were doing his dialysis to show me, but I could clearly see that he is no more. It is a case of negligence and theft, and I'm it's living proof! And it's their bad luck that I'm here. I'm speaking up because it happens with too many people.''
