Abhishek Bachchan's Bold Advice to Married Men Sparks Buzz Amid Divorce Speculations

Abhishek Bachchan recently made headlines for his lighthearted yet impactful advice to married men, shared during his appearance at the Filmfare OTT Awards 2024. The statement, now viral on social media, comes amid ongoing rumours of his separation from wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

While discussing his recent performances, Abhishek was asked about his secret to consistently delivering stellar acting. He replied, “It’s very simple. It’s got nothing to do with us. We just do what the director tells us to do. Chup chap kaam karke ghar aajate hai (We quietly work and return home).”

When the host humorously likened his approach to following a wife’s instructions, Abhishek shrugged in agreement and quipped, “Yes. All married men have to do that… do as your wife says.”

This candid comment comes against the backdrop of divorce rumours that emerged after Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek made separate appearances at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding. While the rest of the Bachchan family – Amitabh, Jaya, Shweta, Agastya Nanda, and Navya Naveli Nanda – posed together for photos, Aishwarya arrived separately with their daughter, Aaradhya.

The speculation gained traction when Abhishek was allegedly absent from Aaradhya’s birthday celebrations. However, a video shared by the event organizers revealed his presence, showing him thanking them for making Aaradhya’s day special, effectively quashing the rumours.

On the work front, Abhishek recently portrayed a cancer survivor and father grappling with life-changing surgery and a strained relationship with his daughter in Shoojit Sircar's I Want To Talk. Although the film underperformed at the box office, his performance earned widespread praise. He is set to appear next in Be Happy and has significant roles in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer King and Akshay Kumar-led Housefull 5.
