Abhishek Bachchan, known for his diverse roles, recently appeared in Be Happy, a heartfelt film highlighting the beautiful bond between a father and daughter. The actor has now shared that he consciously avoids taking up projects with ‘very s*xually explicit’ content. Since becoming a father to Aaradhya, he prefers working in films that he can comfortably watch with her.

In a recent chat with The Quint, Abhishek discussed his process of choosing films. He explained that he doesn’t overthink his decisions but instead follows his instincts. If a story resonates emotionally, he believes it’s worth doing. However, he does have certain boundaries when it comes to on-screen content.

“Maybe something that’s very s*xually explicit. I’m very uncomfortable with that. I don’t like showing all of that on screen,” he admitted. Even when watching movies or shows alone, he prefers skipping overly intimate moments. This is a personal choice that reflects both his comfort level as an actor and his values regarding the kind of cinema he wants to be associated with.

Further elaborating on his stance, the I Want To Talk actor added, “I have always said, since I became a girl dad, I’d love to make films that I can watch with my daughter.” He clarified that this is not just about setting moral boundaries but also about how Aaradhya might perceive his choices in the future. He wants to be mindful of his projects, ensuring that they align with his role as a responsible parent.

Be Happy: A Heartwarming Tale

Meanwhile, Abhishek’s latest film Be Happy was released on Amazon Prime Video on March 14, 2025, coinciding with Holi celebrations. The film features him as Shiv, a dedicated single father, while Inayat Verma plays his daughter, Dhara. The story revolves around Dhara’s dream of participating in the country’s biggest dance reality show. Despite facing several challenges, Shiv, who has no dance experience, steps in to help his daughter achieve her dream, showcasing their touching father-daughter relationship.

The movie also stars Nora Fatehi, Nassar, Johnny Lever, and Harleen Sethi in important roles. Directed by Remo D’Souza and produced by Lizelle Remo D’Souza under the Remo D’Souza Entertainment banner, Be Happy is an emotional story about love, determination, and family bonds.
