Abhijeet Bhattacharya will NOT be able to TWEET ANYMORE

Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya who is known for voicing his opinion on public platforms will now no more be able to speak his mind on Twitter. Reason? The micro-blogging site, Twitter has "suspended" his account for posting "offensive tweets", especially against women, and for breaking the norms put down by twitter on a repetitive note.

Soon after the twitteratis got to know about this, many of them came forward and extended their support towards the singer and staretd the hashtag #IStandwithAbhijet.

Reportedly, Abhijeet abused some women Twitter users on May 22, among the many, there was JNU student activist Shehla Rashid who faced the wrath of the singer.

About Shehla, Abhijeet posted: "There is rumour she took money for two hours and didn't satisfy the client... Big racket." After which a complaint was filed against him for abusive and offensive tweets.

Following the complaint, Twitter took action against Abhijeet and suspended his account.

Shehla Rashid then thanked everyone for their support. She wrote: "Sincere thanks to everyone for the support. Abhijeet had to delete his tweet. His Twitter account has also been suspended."

Talking to PTI, Abhijeet Bhattacharya said that author Arundhati Roy and people supporting JNU were behind the suspension of his account. "Yes, I just saw it. They are trying to block Paresh Rawal also. All Arundhati and JNU group behind this after Paresh Rawal and I tweeted against Arundhati for her anti-India stand," he said.

On being questioned on whether if he would try to reinstate his Twitter account, Abhijeet told PTI, "I (don't) care a damn... entire nation is with me."

that was really bad words he has used against that woman, no wonder his account is suspended. sometimes people need to know how to deal with their problems and not talk such a cheap words against anyone else. you want to answer her answer it in a smart way without using cheap words.

Twitter has sadly turned out to be the most biased social
media platform ever! Not defending Abhijeet but then the same grounds of suspension should apply for all including those from terror grps, those who post inciteful stuff and even those women who openly abuse. Social media needs to respect everyones freedom of speech and provide equal status to men n women!
