Aamir's Makar Sankranti celebrations on Dangal's set!

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, along with the cast and crew of his upcoming film 'Dangal', celebrated Makar Sankranti and Lohri on the film's sets in Ludhiana. Aamir Khan, dressed in white kurta pyjama, was seen flying kites with the locals.

Aamir Khan has been stationed in Punjab for many months for the shoot of Dangal.

Aamir Khan wished fans on social media with a message saying, "Wishing a very Happy Sankranti to all. Flying kites is my childhood passion. Hope to hear lot of Kai Po Chey in the skies today."

 

In an interview with a leading daily, director of the film, Nitesh Tiwari said, "We enjoyed lots of sweets brought in by local boys on our sets and flew kites. The shooting continued but we did not forget to experience the Punjabi festival. The atmosphere was great." [sic]

A biopic on Haryana-based wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, the movie is currently in the second phase of its shooting in Ludhiana at village Gujjarwal. The Punjabi village has been given a Haryanvi makeover for the film.

In past one week, shooting has also been done in Ludhiana city areas like Janta Nagar, Officers' Colony, Guru Nanak Stadium, Mall Road etc.
