Sitaare Zameen Par Day 3 Box Office: Aamir Khan's movie sets cash registers ringing; Rs 25 crore on Sunday?

This is why he took the daring decision to not release Sitaare Zameen Par on OTT. The film will be available on YouTube after eight weeks.

Well, Sitaare Zameen Par made Rs 10 crores on day one. But the critics’ reviews and word-of-mouth for the movie is good all over the nation. It made nearly Rs 20 crores on day two, which is an excellent jump. Over the weekend, 3 am shows have reportedly been added in Mumbai multiplex as per Box Office Worldwide. The film is looking to close the weekend at Rs 90 crores, which is a superb start. As per estimates, it will make around Rs 25 crores on Sunday, which is great.

Today, filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor took to X to praise Aamir Khan and his conviction. He said that he has shown the industry how it is done. Aamir Khan said nowadays producers do not take a project on floors before signing an OTT deal. We know that producers recover massive costs from deals with streaming giants. It seems Aamir Khan rejected deals from Netflix and Amazon Prime Video for Sitaare Zameen Par. The film has also roped in actors who have Down’s Syndrome. This makes it truly authentic. The movie aims to bring awareness in people, and remove the stigma around this condition.
