Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Collection Day 4: Aamir Khan’s Film Mints Rs 8.5 Crore On First Monday

Following a strong weekend, Aamir Khan's "Sitaare Zameen Par" experienced a decrease in earnings on its first Monday. According to Sacnilk, the film earned just over ?8 crore on Monday. Despite this, Sitaare Zameen Par has already exceeded the domestic collection of Aamir's previous release, Laal Singh Chadha, indicating a positive performance overall.

Sitaare Zameen Par saw its peak on Sunday, earning Rs 27.25 crore, according to initial Sacnilk estimates. Despite this success, the film experienced a significant drop on Monday, collecting only Rs 8.50 crore. The film's total domestic earnings reached Rs 66.65 crore after four days, although it didn't achieve double digits on its first weekday. The Monday decrease was anticipated, but the film had already made a significant impact during its opening weekend.

The film has already surpassed Laal Singh Chaddha's Rs 61.36 crore domestic collection, despite the major dip. It has earned Rs 95.75 crore worldwide in just three days and is nearing the Rs 100 crore mark.

Sitaare Zameen Par, a sports comedy-drama, is directed by R. S. Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit. The film marks the Hindi cinema debut of several actors, including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, and Samvit Desai. The cast also features Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. Furthermore, the film features a supporting cast of experienced actors such as Dolly Ahluwalia, Gurpal Singh, Brijendra Kala, and Ankita Sehgal, promising a well-rounded ensemble. The film is a spiritual successor to the beloved Taare Zameen Par.

India Forums gave 4 ratings to the films. A part of our review read, "The film's biggest strength lies in how it normalises disability without pity. It doesn't try to turn the characters into "inspirations" or glorify them in a preachy way. Instead, it invites the audience to see them simply as individuals with their own personalities, dreams, and quirks. Prasanna manages to avoid melodrama, choosing instead to root the story in realism and restraint. The result is a film that offers empathy over sympathy, laughter over lament, and inclusion over tokenism. Sitaare Zameen Par is not just a comeback for Aamir Khan, it's a return to storytelling that makes you feel things. It delivers a message without shouting it. It talks about empathy, acceptance, and inner healing, but through laughter, tears, and love."
