Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan to have his OTT debut in June 2024 with Maharaj?

Junaid Khan's Maharaj to come directly on Netflix in June 2024

Junaid Khan, the son of Aamir Khan and his first wife Reena Dutta is one of the star kids poised to debut soon in tinsel town. He was signed on by Yash Raj Films for their period drama Maharaj. Siddharth P Malhotra is directing the movie. He has made Hichki with YRF. The film Maharaj is set against the backdrop of the 1862 Maharaja Libel Case. The incident was about a journalist who filed a case on the leader of a sect for his sexual liaisons with various women. The shoot of the film got done in October 2023.

YRF announced the film will have a direct OTT release on Netflix. Now, reports are coming that it will come next month in June 2024. YRF’s two projects on Netflix Romantics and The Railway Men have done great. In fact, The Railway Men got as much viewership as Money Heist Berlin on Netflix. It seems Aditya Chopra is confident that Maharaj will appeal to a global audience. They are in the process of finalizing a campaign for the same.

It seems viewers will get to see the trailer of Maharaj around June 5. The pre-release campaign is short and concise. They will begin aggressive promotions once the product is out in the market.

Junaid Khan is doing a film with Sai Pallavi and finished a schedule in Japan. He is also doing the remake of Love Today with Khushi Kapoor. Like most star kids, he has 2-3 films lined up already. Maharaj also stars Sharvari, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Shalini Pandey. Junaid Khan has trained in acting for more than four years. The young man also underwent a body transformation for his debut in films. Junaid Khan along with Ibrahim Ali Khan, Veer Pahariya and Amaan Devgn is one of the debutants to watch out for.
