A real testimony to the simplicity in story!

The sets of Baa Bahu Aur Baby few days back had a guest. An old woman from a small town came all the way to the sets with a strange request. She wanted to see the well in the Thakkar household. As per the story the “Kuldevta” of the family resided in the well and she wanted to pay her respects and take blessings from the Kuldevta.

The Producers and others on the set were quite amused and tried to explain to the lady that the Kuldevta she was referring to was a part of the plotline, and that it didn't exist in reality.

On asking Atish Kapadia, the producer of Baa Bahu Aur Baby,he confirmed the incident and said, “Yes she came to us accompanied by her son and daughter-in-law and said that she wanted to have a darshan of the well. She believed that all her wishes will be fulfilled by praying before the well. We allowed her to see that well and also the set. Atish who just cannot forget the experience adds on to say, "She started asking us more about our family and even wanted to see our house(sets), and she just did not believe that this is just a set for the serial. Her son and daughter-in-law were feeling little embarrassed by this entire situation.” However, the woman had a firm belief that the Kuldevta resided there and nothing would make her believe otherwise. She even reminded the producers of a Navratri story in the show where the Thakkar family felt the presence of the Kuldevta.

Atish clarified that the old womaen was shown the well and the sets, but no puja as such was allowed to be done. The incident shows how much popular the serial is among the viewers. “It feels good seeing the rising popularity our serial has been getting. People believed it to be real and this actually speaks volumes asto how close our story is to reality. We are not showing big houses and false glamour to the audience,” says Atish happily. When asked about the future track, Atish had happy news for Baa Bahu Aur Baby viewers. “I can’t reveal much now. I can only say that we are out of mourning and it will now be only fun and happy moments. And yes, Dimple and Anish will get married soon,” explains Atish.

This is one serial that has proved that even simple and realistic plot lines can work in raising the popularity of a show among the masses.
