A book on Rang De Basanti to be launched in Sharjah.

By winning many awards along with the National award, after 11 years and 9 months, the fans can rejoice with the memories of the critically acclaimed film once again.



The 2006 film, Rang De Basanti was directed and produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra that featured an ensemble cast of Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Kunal Kapoor, Siddharth Narayan, Soha Ali Khan, Sharman Joshi, Atul Kulkarni and British actress Alice Patten in the lead roles. 

Released on Republic Day January 26, 2006, the film broke all the opening box office records in India. It was the highest-grossing film in its opening weekend in India and had the highest opening day collections for a Bollywood film. The film was well received and praised for strong screenplay and dialogues too. 

Sharing the news on social media filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra tweets, "#RangDeBasanti- looking forward to releasing the book along with my dear friend Maddy" (Sic).

Both Mehra and actor R. Madhavan will be releasing the book, "Rang De Basanti - The Making" on November 4, 2017, at Expo Centre Sharjah.
