24 years ago, on this day, Balaji Telefilms' launched one of its best shows. There was a time when the show had brought laugh riots in Indian homes. Viewers used to eagerly wait for the show to air and the memories of Hum Paanch, still continues to spread its charm.

Hum Paanch was produced by Queen of daily soaps, Ekta Kapoor, under her banner Balaji Telefilms. It presented a fun-filled story of five sisters who always caused trouble for his father. The concept was new for the viewers then, they hadn't experienced a family comedy with five sisters with such unique traits, until that time. The show became a huge hit and brought the star cast to fame.

As the show completed 24 years today, Producer Ekta Kapoor got nostalgic and penned a beautiful post about the sitcom. Sharing the theme song of the show on her Instagram handle, she wrote, "On a Tuesday third week of March a small production house launched a show from an office created in a garage! A mother daughter duo started a show of a father with five daughters! 24 years later it's still one show that makes ppl smile! Sorry for the bad video quality but lots was lost in the floods in 2005 July!Thanku @zeetv @punitgoenka Thanku #HUMPAANCH #twentyfouryearsofhumpaanch."
