Actor Janhvi Kapoor might just be over a few films old now but even so far, her choice of films have been really interesting and applaudable as well. After debuting with Dhadak, she was a part of the anthology series, Ghost Stories but it was only last year in the film, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl that she received a lot of critical acclaim.
The film, even though, released on Netflix turned out to be a success and was one of the most acclaimed films as well. And it was the same day last year that the film release thus making the completion of one year of the film today. On this special day, Kapoor made sure to celebrate the occasion by putting up a post where she talked about the journey she went through and she is so grateful for the same. She obviously thanked the person herself, Gunjan Saxena for the help and support among other things.
Her note read, ''nothing I ever say will do enough justice to what this journey has meant to me. I could have never even dreamt of a creative process that felt so pure and enriching, in every way. And I’m so grateful for all the people that helped make it that way, and most of all to Gunjan Mam for letting us be privy to her spirit and her rare sincerity, something that continues to guide me and shape my outlook in everything I try to do. And Sharry, for recognising and making us all feel the importance of what this story stood for. You made trusting the process feel more fruitful than daunting, and that was more valuable than any reward we as a team could have asked for #GunjanSaxena''.-
It was indeed a special film not just for Kapoor but for everyone attached to the project. And while Kapoor was applauded for Roohi this year as well, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl will always be an important chapter for the actor as she has only began her career as of now.
Apart from Kapoor, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl also starred Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi in important roles.
