The Patriarch of the family, Raj€™s career grew from a successful singer to a business tycoon of a music company. Energetic, a control freak and the cream of Delhi high society, he likes to be home for dinner with his children. Raj is a combination of cool and rich and has the looks to match his personality. Raj is obsessed with his son Rahul’s career and leaves no stone unturned to make it a resounding success.
Sonali is a loving mother and Raj€™s second wife. Raj’s first wife, Gayatri is her best friend and her son Rahul is the apple of Sonali’s eye. She is a kind woman, who is gracious enough to let Gayatri’s parents live with them in the Sabarwal house and respects them. There is quite a lot of banter that takes place between her and Gayatri’s mother but they both respect each other.
He is Maanvi€™s father and a classical music teacher by profession. He is someone who doesn’t watch television and loves classical languages like Sanskrit. Being a traditionalist he feels that contemporary music has ruined culture and classical music. Although he comes across as stern he can be very humorous at times.
The eldest son of the Sabarwal house, Rahul is a super talented guy with a great voice and a true rock star. Whenever he performs on stage, he is adored by his fans and they fall all over him. Rahul is responsible for the success of his father’s music company and all his concerts have all sold out. He hates being in the media’s glare and is not interested in having female fans fawn on him. The only woman that Rahul wants in his life is his mother. Rahul’s image of being arrogant and uncaring in the media is far from what he really is – happy-go-lucky, a family guy who adores his parents.
Maanvi is the heroine and adores her family, although she disagrees with her father with regard to his music choice. A bubbly yet strong-willed, she loves to sing and is trained in classical singing by her father.
Shilpa is Upamanyu€™s wife and Maanvi’s mother. Being in love with her husband, she left behind her family riches and never regrets it. A positive person, Shilpa always tries to see the bright side of things. Even though they are facing a financial crisis, she doesn’t want her husband to go against his principles and to do something he doesn’t like. Being a loyal wife, she even sold her jewellery to make ends meet and all she wants is her husband’s happiness.
