Anupamaa is an adaptation from a popular Bengali TV serial “ Sreemoyee” aired on Star Jalsa. Rupali Ganguly as Anupamaa Shah is the main lead in the role of a devolved housewife. Opposite Anupama is Shudhandhu Pandey in the role of Vanraj Shah her husband, along with Madalsa Sharma as Kavya Gandhi, in the role of Vanraj’s colleague n girlfriend.
The story revolves around the protagonist who realises that she was disrespected by her family members even though she loved and cared for them. She faces humiliation from her husband, Mother In Law and children for not complying, eating her degree at college. Irked by her family’s behaviour, Anupamaa decides to live her life at her own terms. Soon she realises her husband was having an affair with Kavya. How Anupamaa handles her life after this is very very interesting go to watch and an inspiration to all women .
