*7 years back*

Shaurya Khanna and Mehak Sharma are the two most talked about persons in St. Xavier's College, Delhi. But of course for different reasons.

Shaurya Khanna was college hero, he was that eye candy every girl had a crush on. Mehak Sharma was no less. Mehak Sharma... well she was that geeky, intellectual girl who always scored the top in her terms consistently, being Professors favourite have definately added to her hidden charm. Her eyes have the unique shade of hue with a never fading shine but she securely hides that behind her spectacles.

Mehak was never a party girl unlike Shaurya who practically live with the parties...a typical high class party freak. His father Mr. Harish Khanna was one of the trustee in their college and he very fondly used his father's position in his favours.

Mehak and Shaurya met first during the college debate event. Mehak is unusually reserved, but she was requested by their English professor to participate as she is the best one to represent their year and won. Mehak's speech was the best till now, no one can believe the girl so shy can be so fierce when she is competing. Their first meet was unusual .she didn't notice him but she is the only one he could only watch that day.

Shaurya never met a girl who is so unique. Shaurya do notice her few times in their college premises. She is the quite types, always hiding behind her books and many a times being the silent observer. She spoke less but she observe the most. She may never know but he do watch her sometimes.

It was decided by the college authority that the one who wins the annual art competition will have a special privilege but it was kept a secret. Mehak loves painting and she just want to take part but what she never knew was that her destiny is bringing her that special one who will change her life forever.

As expected she was the winner and to her surprise and everyone's shock it was declared that the winner is getting the privilege of going on the prom night with the college star, Shaurya Khanna.

Girls who practically never noticed Mehak start envying her and the boys. ...well they are happy that may be now they have their chances with their respective crushes who are always busy drooling over some Khanna.

College prom was nothing either of them can expect. Shaurya never thought Mehak can even shake a leg or look dangerously stunning in her red color knee length one piece with a pair of studs. She tied up her hairs in a messy bun giving a good view of her rear.

Shaurya was dumbstruck, well not only him but practically the rest of his species present in the hall and that kind of irk him, reason ?? may be because...she was his partner and no one else was needed to gaze at her.

Mehak on the other side never thought or realised what had she done to herself unless she saw the daggering look all the girls be it seniors or her classmates were showing her. Shaurya was looking amused and so as others. and that left her wondering what was wrong.

Rest of the evening was spent between their awkward behaviour and strange looks. They danced together, they eat together and then they left for the home together. On the way back to her hostel was when they properly have the conversations.

They talked simply about everything possible, about their likes, dislikes, hobbies to their goals .the two hour Journey was never been so good before. The only thing they never discussed was their families.

From there the journey begins to become the friend to good friends to Besties and confessed their feelings too that they love each other but one fateful night changed everything

Shanaya was a college hottie well she believes she was but Shaurya never had a good look for her. She try to be in his good books always but end up messing it up with her because she never likes Mehak and always being very rude and anyone who is not good to his Mehak can never be in his good books ...he made it very evident in the second year itself. After than she didn't try to mess it up with him but on the day of their fare well everything changes...

Shaurya want to take their relationship to where it truely belong . It was the last day before their final terms starts. He got a ring as well, he want to propose her ...for something forever. He want to seal their relationship to the world that they belong to each other ...nobody else.

Shaurya had never been any surer in his life with his decision, atleast in case of a relationship. He has never been a commitment type but he knows well enough that his Mehak is not an ordinary girl, he need her for life so he made his decision and want to do the best for the evening.

Mehak was yet to arrive but Shaurya was already pacing around waiting for her. He didn't notice that one pair of eyes continuously keeping an eye over him.

''Shaurya,...she called him...''i know you don't like me much but I really want to apologise for me behaviour and want to start over. So can we be friends?''she forward her hands

Shaurya have no reason to deny so he handshake with her.

Shaurya want to double check the things so he move inside towards the pool area where all the preparations are to be made. Following him Shanaya made her way towards him.

''So this is for Mehak ??...these arrangements...everything?''

He nodded with a bright smile. 'Did you see her inside? Was she come already?, Shaurya questioned her.

''No, not yet'', she replied back.

'Is that the ring?'', she questioned looking over the box in his hand.

He nodded.

'can I see it''.

Before he can show her the ring his cell phone rings, its Mehak. So he hurriedly want to get her but shanaya stopped him saying,

''Hey wait! Let us surprise her so I will go get her you wait here, okay?''

Shaurya agreed.

When Mehak was wondering where Shaurya is, Shanaya being the extra sweet came to her and deliberately fake laughed and show her excitement to her saying how Shaurya is planning something special for them tonight and looking for her help.

Mehak doesn't believe her anyway so she just went to search him down.

Shanaya was waiting for the perfect opportunity. As soon as she saw Mehak going near the gate towards pool area she hurriedly make her way towards him.

'Shaurya she is coming be ready...and...Shaurya ...i'm so happy''..., Shanaya keep an eye towards the gate.

and she suddenly out of nowhere hugged him. Shaurya was unaware of that Mehak was standing there.

'...those who are meant to be will always be together'', as soon as these words register in her mind Mehak stumbles back...her dreams crushing down into pieces.

Her hand touch the nearby glass ware and it crushed down in pieces, that make Shaurya took a look back but what he didn't expect was the broken look...and with that without a glance she left him...his life...his every thought. Shaurya went behind her to explain...to know what is that broken look for but all he hear is a please...i need time, leave me alone Shaurya...leave me alone.

Shaurya want to confront her...know her whereabouts but she left no traces back. Her cell phone was off. Her address has changed. She was somewhere in this world but he just don't know where.

*Back to present*

Going down the memory lane was very difficult.It has been a week since Shaurya left her house and probably her life too. He is so restless past few days, he can't sleep, he can't eat. All day long it was just her and her thoughts only. What had she done to him, before also it was like this...her thoughts are always with him but now after their supposed meeting she becomes unforgettable for him. He was forced to come to their college reunion tonight because of his friends and even when everyone is busy mingling up with old buddies and cherish their memories, he could only sit before the bar while drinking his wine, remembering her and her cherished memories.

His friends forced him to came to the dance floor, most of the girls was giving him a sly look. He still was the college sensation even after years. All he need to put his hand forward but he did not feel like doing it with someone else after he shared his first dance with her...still it was her and will always be her. He chuckled in his mind and was about to back off when someone hold me back in her tighter grips. He tried to turn around but She came closer and cover his eyes with her hands. There, he can feel her familiar scent over his senses, she held his right hand and put it over her waist and then take the left hand to rest it over her right shoulder and then her hand immediately go around his neck and held me even closer. She gently move her hand over his eyes and keep it behind his neck. She is dangerously close to him...barely an inch apart. He can feel her breaths, she is enjoying the rhythm, her body is showing that. She lead them to gently move with the beats of music...it was a romantic number...perfect and appropriate for them. Mehak enjoying every bit of closeness whereas Shaurya hates every bit of it.

'What are you doing here?'', Shaurya asked her irritated.

'Dancing obviously'', she replied as if he is stupid.

'Seriously why can't you leave me alone Mehak'', Shaurya asked this time with a stiffer tone just to show his annoyance and grievance. She moved closer to him and putting her hands around his neck she whispered-'Because... I. Love. You...she takes every single word with deep sense of affection.

'I.Love. you...i always do'', she spoke her heart to him.

Her words...her confession...her feelings ...her affection, it affect him greatly but he masked it because his hurt for years was more than what she is saying few seconds ago. He just can't accept her apology this easily. He suffered for freaking four years...his yearn...his pain is right now very strong emotion that he is feeling that he can't let that stupid girl who is looking outrageously sensuous in that blood red gown that accentuate her curves perfectly. that red color is looking sinful to her fair skin.

'Shaurya...come on , get a grip ,man ! how can this girl still made him go nuts and behave like a love sick puppy'', he groaned inwardly and slammed his head for his insane thoughts. 'Remember how she misunderstand you ... and more importantly misunderstand your love.''

'Really, Mehak...you love me...well, are you sure because according to you just a week back, I'm that selfish jerk who cheated you with shanaya ,. Then what happened in few days?

'I realised my mistake...,she started with but quickly cut by him

After four years''...he completes.

He freed her hands from his neck and made his way to the remote area in the backyard. He didn't want t to stay here any longer. Stay near her...close to her.

''Shanaya told me everything'', she shouts behind him and that made him look back.

''What...do you mean?'', he asked.

'I was searching her for past few days and I finally able to get her yesterday only, I confront her and she tell me what she did to us years back'', she has guilt in her eyes, she has the regret.

''And what did she tell you,...taking a deep sigh he continue,

''That,it was never me, who cheated you.

It was never me, you left you.

It was never me who misunderstand you or our love. Am I right Miss Sharma?'', the sarcasm dipped from his words make her guiltiter.

''Yes,it was me who left you, it was me who misunderstand you, it was me who misunderstand our love. It was me...always the wrong one,the stupid one.''

'But please don't leave me Shaurya ,please don't leave me. I was scared ,I was insecure ...i never want to believe that fact that someone like you can actually love me. i know my one stupidity cost us four long years but I promise I made it up to you...to us. please don't leave me...please.''

Her eyes start watering. Her tears was still his biggest weakness. He is still not immune to this thing of hers, no matter how stupid she behaves, how many mistakes she had done, how many times she messed up his life but her one tear break all his walls and that go down like a puddle of mush.

He wipes off her lone tear and with a sigh he accepted his defect and gently asked her, 'Mehak what do you want?''

Quickly wiping off her tears she showed her smile.

'I want every ounce of your attention'', Mehak declared sensuously.

'Tonight ,I will give you all my undivided attention'' ,Shaurya whispered near her ears before taking her in a searing kiss.

The morning after was the best morning in her life. She felt the hot breaths of his over her skin which reminds her the waves of passion she experienced last night that sends shiver down her spine. Last night she gifted the most priced possession of her to the one man she loved more than her life. And She felt ...complete.

She woke up in the early morning and sight in front was the loveliest sight she could ever saw , he is smiling in his sleep and his face looked so serene that she could possibly give her life to see that smile on his face .She promised herself and him that she will never give up on them.

'I know I made a huge mistake years back to not believe you, to not show the faith in our relations and I'm very sorry for that but I really love u Shaurya, I love you. Please never leave me again, even if I'm all stupid and behaving like a possessed soul then also please stick to my side and hug me tight and put sense onto my head and feel free to tell me I'm stupid. Whatsoever the reason may be, But you are never allowed to leave me...never ever.'', she confessed whole heartily and kissed him on his cheeks and snuggling into him falling down in a deep slumber.

Unknown to her as always he was listening to her every word. Tightening the hold on her he promised himself that he will be with her forever and give her what she deserve and more than that, because she may be little silly, she can act all stupid and do annoying things, she may misunderstood him, fails to understand him once, but in the end she become his...because she is always DESTINED TO BE HIS.

The chapter had its ups and downs but the ending was extremely beautiful. How these two separated with a misunderstanding and how destiny bring them back together to meet as their future prospect life partner. Again walking down the memory lane how Shaurya fell in love with her and a chudail named Shanaya spoilt everything and now Mehak knowing the truth came on her own to claim him as hers and now they are madly in love with each other. t
