I was going to write a longer chapter but...

I started makings memes, and this came out short.

Chapter 3

Mehek waited at his door step, She sat on the step impatiently tapping her left foot, it was a little after 11pm when he came back. He had been with Mercy talking about something. Mehek stood up and opened her mouth to say something, Shaurya pulled out his key, and moved past her with the grace of a king. It almost like he had not seen her, Mehek reached out and grabbed his arm.

"We need to talk He stopped and stared at her hand, and Mehek let go of him. He went inside and left the door open. Everything was a mess. He had literally been here a day, and the room she had cleaned so well this morning was completely messed up, his clothing was strewn all over the room. Mehek picked one of his shirts up, it was something she did without thinking, as the kids were always messy and folded it.

He sat down on the bed oblivious to the disorder.

"The jet lag is catching up on me whatever you have to say make it fast He said, he turned and noticed her folding his shirt, and a humourless smile settled over his lips.

"There is no need, if you missed the latest you ran away from the wedding, so you don't have to do wifely duties He said in a harsh tone pulling it out of her hand and throwing it over his shoulder. Mehek bit her lip.

"I should not have bothered coming here She said he was still angry with her he would not be ready to hear anything she said, walking straight to the door, she stumbled on a shoe and fell into his lap. His arm slid around her waist and his lips curled humourlessly.

"You have reached your right place hmm? Regretting running away already? Mehek pushed at his chest, but his strong arm did not budge a fraction. She stilled for a second, and her chest got that weird feeling again, it was almost as if she could not breath. Hear radiated from his body. His eyes changed, and it was almost as if he were amused. And then they quickly changed again.

"I would not look at a man like that, especially being in his room alone this late at night Mehek blinked at first what he said did not register to her and then it did and his arm loosened, she got up and tried to ignore the way his eyes ran over her body.

"Do you go to your boyfriend like this? He asked, he got up and his tone changed all together. Mehek took a step backwards as he walked towards her.

His tall frame towering over her. Crowding her personal space.

She pressed her palms against his chest, so that he would maintain an arm distance from her, when her back hit the wall.

"You don't have a right to ask me that Mehek said, gathering herself. Now wonder Sonal, was so crazy over him. It was incredibly hard to think straight, with him so near. He smelled like merry rinds. His sweater was so soft on her skin. She half wanted to run her hands down...

For the first time, she noticed on his finger was the ring her mother had sent for him after their one-sided engagement.

Why had he not taken it off, how on earth had she not noticed it.

He pulled her hand roughly out and forcefully held her palm out.

"You have my name in mehendi on your hands, but you say I have no right? That night I phoned he did not know who I was, so I figured you probably did not tell him about your past He said, smirking when her skin turned white.

Mehek pulled her hand away. Would he tell Sandeep? Was that why he came here?

"Is that why you came here like this? Is that why you are doing all of this? Mehek asked him, He looked away.

"What am I doing Mehek? That you look so afraid? This is only day one and you are this scared. Just think when I really start what will happen

"You want revenge I know you do. You want to hurt me for leaving you He started to laugh.

It was a hollow empty sound.

And he sat down on his bed.

"I have always been a straight forward man. So, I will tell you plainly, I am here to take you back with me, pyaar se maan jao teek hai warna ...main apne tareekeh se karungi tumhey apna bana le ga aur tum toh bas dekteh rehjaongi. You can call it revenge if you want He said without even blinking. The intensity of his words left her stunned.

Mehek's chest did a weird sort of a flip. And then she thought about Sandeep. The man she loved and felt guilty at how his words made her feel.

"I have a boyfriend, Whom I love I won't leave him

"You met some stranger 4 weeks ago, when you barely even left me and call that eternal love He said venomously.

"I know that he is nothing like you and for me that is enough Mehek said, Sonal was right he had come for her.

"And what really do you know about me? He asked her, she knew nothing. He was just someone who had acted as if he owned her. The way his eyes looked at her made her turn away.

"Nothing. But I do love Sandeep and I will never go back to you. So I am telling you now that there will never be anything between us, you might as well go back to India

"Tere bina main nahi jaongi The way he said it made her uneasy with such finality as if there was no other option.
