"What is happening?" Shaurya asked from behind. Everyone turned towards the source of voice. Mehak got scared seeing him in front of her yet again, she hid herself quietly behind Manasavi. Manasavi smiles seeing her sister scared.
"Nothing much. How are you now?" Raunak asked him. Shaurya gets confused by his question and asks him "What?"
"Arre.. you were having constipation na? Are you okay now?" Khisthij said loudly. Manasavi and Mehak looked at him shocked while Shaurya stood there embarrassed plus clueless. He immediately shut his mouth "What are you talking about Khisthij? I'm perfectly fine." He gritted his teeth in the end and looked at Manasavi who was looking at him with amused face. He didn't noticed Mehak till now.
"Arre, isme sharmane wali kya baat hai Shaurya? Ho jata hai sabko. Chill!!" Raunak tried to defend Khishtij and saved him from Shaurya's clutches.
Shaurya looked at his friends in disbelief "Who told you I had constipation?" He asked, trying hard not to shout on them.
"We know everything Dude. We saw you lying down on your bed in frustration and you do all those acts when you get consti-" Sakshi tried to say more but Shaurya shut her mouth by his palms. She looked at his face wide eyed. Manasavi tried hard to control her laugh seeing her Devar Ji all flustered on his friends stupid thoughts and making him embarrass.
"Understood, but guys mujhe constipation nahi hua hai. I'm perfectly fine." He said, all embarrassed.
"But then why you were lying down on you bed all frustrated, if you don't have consti-" Megha tried to say but Shaurya saw her with anger. She shut her mouth and hid behind her hubby.
"Try to say it one more time and see what happens after that?" He warned his friends by showing them his index finger. Everyone gulped their saliva in fear and shook their head in Yes but soon Raunak held his hand "What happened to your hand? Are you hurt? How did this happen? This is the reason you were lying down on bed frustrated?" He asked him seeing band-aid. Actually Shaurya raised his injured hand to warn them.
Shaurya looked at his hand and sighed. He freed his hand from Raunak's grip "Hmm. This is the reason." He said, looking at his hand intently. Mehak peeped from behind and saw band-aid on his hand. She felt bad knowing he injured his hand while saving her and after that she twisted his arm without thinking twice. She lowered down her face and hid again. Manasavi came towards him and put her hand on his shoulders "I'm sorry Devar Ji" She said.
"Bhabhi, why are you saying sorry? You were not at fault? Yeh sab to uss ladki ke karan hua hai." He said last line annoyingly.
"Shaurya, agar main kahu ki wo ladki meri behen hai to?" Manasavi said. Shaurya at once looked at her in shock and then at direction where she was looking. He saw Mehak looking down and playing with her dupatta. His anger rose up seeing her again in front of him but he composes himself and then looked at his Bhabhi who was looking at him with cute puppy face to forgive her sister.
"Bhabhi, she is really your sister? Aap mazaak to nahi kar rahe hai na?" He asked her. Manasavi shook her head in Yes. He closed his eyes and thinks something.
"Fine. It's only because you are saying." He said. Manasavi face lit up in happiness and she hugged him. Shaurya embraced her happily. Mehak looked at him in surprise and thought "Inna bura bhi nahi hai yeh" and smiles. Pioneers stood there as silent spectators and trying to understand the situation but poor souls didn't got anything. Meanwhile, Krishna came in along with Biji.
"Hayye.. inna pyaar Bhabhi-Devar ke beech. Hayye.. main maari jaawan" Biji said, silently blessing them in her mind. Shaurya rolled his eyes at his Drama Queen Biji. He immediately side hugged his Biji "Kyu tenu jalan ho rahi hai?" He asked her. Biji looked at him "Nahi to" She replied. Shaurya goes back to Manasavi and hugs her again "Fir theek hai. Bhabhi, let's go." and winks at others. Biji's mouth got wide open and Krishna and Manasavi laughs out loud. Biji held her stick up to beat him but he held her stick and hugs her tightly "Biji, Biji, Biji, meri pyaari Biji. I Love You." He said cutely.
Biji sighed and gave in the hug "Acha acha theek hai" She saw Mehak looking down, she goes to her "Ki hoya kudiye? Aise mooh latka ke kyu khadi hai. Iss shaitan (pointing at Shaurya) ne kuch bola kya?" She asked her. Mehak shook her head in No and looks down again. Manasavi sighed "Mehak, bahar jao aur dekho ki Charan Singh, kal Lohri ke liye lakdiyan le aaya kya? Go!" She asked her to go away. Mehak looked at her with wet eyes, Manasavi signals her again to leave. Mehak shook her head in Yes and left the room. Biji and Krishna tried to stop her but Mansavi stop them saying "Biji. Mom. Let her go. Please." She said. Everyone found it weird but didn't let the topic go.
"What's wrong Bhabhi?" Shaurya nudged her. Manasavi looked at him and smiled "Kuch nahi, Mehak jaisi dikhti hai waisi hai nahi. She is little bit sensitive when it comes to apologies. Give her some time, she will come by herself to apologize to you." She said with undivided attention.
"Par wo to Shaurya se sahi se mili bhi nahi Manasavi?" Biji said.
"Main mila dugi Biji. Achcha ye batayie aap yaha kyu aaye hai?" She asked, changing the topic. Biji and others attention got diverted but Shaurya didn't let it go. He kept looking at the way where Mehak left.
"Oh haan, main to yaha iss khotiye nu (hitting Shaurya's head) dhoondne aayi thi. Yeh batane ki kal Lohri hai to theek se rahiyo. Kal poora parivaar hoga to beeti baaton ko bhula kar, iss khushi mein sab ke saath shaamil ho." Biji said. Shaurya got attentive after hearing out her words and rolled her eyes.
"Main nahi aaunga!" He said stubbornly. Krishna hit him this time "Tenu aana padega warna maine terko ghar se nikal dena hai, wo bhi aadhi raat nu bina kapdo ke. Samjha?" She said in warning tone. Pioneers and Manasavi looked at her shocked, Shaurya eyes widened in fear and in the end gave in "Fine, I'll be there." He leaves saying this.
"Kal Lohri hai Aunty?" Megha and Sakshi asked excitedly. Everyone smiled seeing their excitement. Krishna nods and both the girls squeeled in happiness "Wow!! You know what Biji ye Lohri humari pehli Lohri hogi humari shaadi ke baad. Ohh.. We are so excited." Megha said, dancing happily, hugging her hubby.
"Exactly babes, and guess what we can call our parents here. What say?" Sakshi said, looking at Biji for permission. Biji smiled and caresses her head "Off course, you can call them." She gave her permission. Sakshi hugged her tightly and thanked her.
After that everyone left for Lohri prep, leaving Manasavi in her deep thoughts. She sighed and dialed one number on her phone. Phone gets connected.
~One side conversation~
"Sastriyakal, main Manasavi Khanna bol rahi hu. Umm.. Kya main Mrs Sharma se baat kar sakti hu please? Thank you. (after 5 minutes) Hello, main Manu bol rahi hu. Please phone mat cut kijiyega. Please ek baar meri baat sun lijiye. Kal Lohri hai, kya aap yaha aa sakti hai? Nahi, please meri baat suniye. Hello? Hello?" Her phone call gets ended. She sighed in frustration and stomps her foot angrily. She leaves the room thinking to meet Mehak once and then she will leave to prepare dinner but little did she know that Mehak already heard everything and left the place in haste.
Shaurya comes back to his room and keep thinking about the Mehak and the things happening around him.
Here, Mehak comes out of the house and runs towards some random farm, she stops near well in the farm, panting heavily she opens up her phone screen and starts to cry loudly.
