Happy Mother's Day!
I thought I am one of the very few taskmaster moms, but I guess most moms are like me! That makes me feel a little bit better!

A very Happy Mother's Day to you Rekha ...and also to all the Mothers...!

Very hilarious song...! I think a sweet Mom is hidden inside almost every taskmaster Mom...! She's often the main engine of the family, so to keep her family on the right track...she has no choice, but be more of a strict Mom than a sweet one...! 😊

Count me in. I'm such a "I don't believe in all this Mothers' Day nonsense" mom, but my daughter is all sweetness and light, and rubs all the cynicism out of me.
Happy Mothers' Day everyone!

Thanks for your wishes! Hope you all had a great day yesterday!

@Waida1234,
Thanks! Well I really hope that all the love my children shower over me is real and they don't hate me for being so OCD. 😆

@DiyaKash,
I said/did all those things to my kids!😆 My husband tells me that I need to relax. Even my mom tells me that I am too much and I am acting exactly like her mom! I tell my mom that this is exactly how you disciplined me when I was a kid, so now don't interfere with my parenting! Sometimes its overwhelming.

@Vedika211,

Oh yeah! My daughter is very sweet too, but she lives in her own world, so I have to repeat everything 100 times so that she gets it right! My 6 yr old son is another species. He is hyperactive, so he barely listens to what anyone says. He has this rebellious trait in him, just like his mommy🤔, so he would definitely do it if you tell him not to. We have a pillar in the living room and he taught himself to climb it and it scared the hell out of me when I saw him do it. I told him not to do it, so he would do it when I am not watching😵. I changed my strategy and told him to climb the pillar only when mommy is watching so she can catch him if he falls😳. That worked! Everyday is a new day with a brand new challenge for mothers!

Yes everyday is a brand new challenge indeed 😊

The reason I said this was because of my experience this mothers' day. My daughter is quite young (she's 4) and she discovered that Sunday was mothers' day. She pestered my poor husband to get a cake, candles, party hat, decorations, card, gift and what not, until the poor fellow gave in and got whatever she wanted. It was very sweet and moving. It was also super ironic since neither me nor my husband actually do these sort of things. We'll get each other tons of things but never on special days except birthdays. So it was very new for us to make Mothers' Day the "best day ever!"
