Part 5:

Mehak left Shaurya's cabin and went smiling towards her kitchen. All the way she kept on thinking about her kiss with Shaurya. She just couldn't stop herself from thinking about that moment. When she reached the kitchen, she closed her eyes trying to calm herself from the after effect of the kiss. She was breathing restlessly. She continued playing with her dupatta, smiling with her hands covered on her face.

Mehak thought: Control Mehak...whts wrong with you...What was dat and how did it happen... I went to resign not to kiss...hey but I didn't kiss he did it...Yeah right but I could have stopped him and I didn't want him to stop...I m talking to myself!!! I ll go mad...I need to calm myself...Take a deep breath!!!

She started taking deep breaths and decided to continue preparing the desert. She had to make it fast coz the investors were already done with their main course and if she didn't hurry up, she would have Shaurya and Rajeev Sir sitting on her head.

After she was done giving final touches to her desert, the waiters came to take it. She explained them how the tiramisu was to be served with the ice-cream. She removed her apron and headed towards the other chefs. They were all lined up behind to see the reaction. It was a routine at the hotel when there would be any important guests visiting their place. This was done so that they could give the chefs a direct feedback regarding their food.

Mehak stood next to Kunal and Vinay. Shaurya and Rajeev were sitting with the investors at their table. Shaurya had his back towards Mehak. Shaurya purposely sat in this direction to avoid Mehak. He wouldn't dare look at her. He was guilty wit h what he had done. The investors were discussing about how they would manage such a big project in Singapore and what all would need to be added in the menu to attract the local public of that country. All this while, Shaurya kept on thinking about the moment when he had kissed Mehak.

Shaurya thought: I should have stopped ...should have. Why did I do this? Hell, she would definitely kill me now. How am I supposed to apologize for dis...How hard it is for me to forgive when someone doesn't listen to my orders n here I kissed her n that too without her permission...God...I m an idiot...

Rajeev was talking to Mr. Mehrotra providing him with all the details of the project. He kept on looking at Shaurya from the corner of his eye giving him hints to provide his inputs in the conversation but Shaurya was oblivious to all of that. Rajeev couldn't take it anymore.

Rajeev (in a stern voice): Shaurya, Mr. Mehrotra wants to know how we are going to publicize about our hotel in Singapore. Shaurya...Shaurya...

Shaurya was brought back to the present when Rajeev took his name loudly the second time.

Shaurya: Hmm yes Rajeev...

He looked at Rajeev saying sorry through his eyes. Rajeev signaled him to continue.

Shaurya looked at Mr. Mehrotra: Yes, Mr. Mehrotra we have planned all that ... We are in talks with a well known website designing company to work on our website. They will also publicize about our hotel in newspapers and through ads. We have the entire plan worked out.

Mr. Mehrotra: In that case, I don't have to worry about. I love the food that ur staff served especially the tiramisu dessert. May b you guys knew that I have a sweet tooth and this just happens to be my favorite desert.

Shaurya: No Sir, we honestly didn't know but I guess if we knew it beforehand, we would have surely served you ur favorite.

Mr. Mehrotra laughed: Mr. Khanna u r true business man. U know how to please the people to get ur work done and I like ur honesty about that. So let's not beat around the bush, we are happy to do business with you. The deal is on. We will work about the other details in our office probably next week. What say?

Shaurya: Thank you so much Mr. Mehrotra. It will be a pleasure to do business with your company. Yes, we will fix a meeting next week and discuss the other aspects of this project.

Rajeev: Thank you Sir. So we will next week.

Mr. Mehrotra: Congratulations Rajeev. You both r a superb team...I would be glad to do business with you both. Now I would like to take your leave. See you next week. Bye.

Mehak and the other staff were really happy. Mehak was happy because her Shaurya was happy and the others were happy because they won't be facing Shaurya's wrath. Ever since they were informed about this new project, the entire staff was one their toes. Shaurya had supervised the entire menu for this. He had pressurized them to come up with some innovative dishes and had warned them that if he finds even the slightest fault in the arrangement, he would fire them.

Shaurya and Rajeev went with Mr. Mehrotra to see him off. Kunal was chatting with Mehak discussing how Mr. Mehrotra was gushing over her desert showering praises at her. Mehak blushed hearing all dat but she was constantly looking at the entrance to see if Shaurya is back. She wanted to talk to him after all dat had happened.

The kiss was the sign of his love. If he didn't have any feelings for her, he wouldn't have taken such a big step. The kiss itself was a proof that he too shares the same feelings of love which Mehak has for him.

Mehak pretended to listen to Kunal and the others, kept on looking at the entrance through the corner of her eye but it seemed that they were still discussing something important.

Mehak thought: Why is it taking so long for him to come back? What are they still talking about?

Just then, Rajeev entered the hotel with a big smile. Mehak looked over his shoulder for Shaurya but he wasn't der. She went to Rajeev to ask him about Shaurya.

Mehak: Rajeev Sir, did Mr. Mehrotra leave?

She couldn't ask about Shaurya directly so she decided to enquire about Mr. Mehrotra.

Rajeev: He left. U did a great job today. Well done!! In fact, the entire team did an amazing job. Seriously, u guys are superb. If today we have got this deal, it's all because of u guys. Congratulations to u all!!!

Before Mehak could ask him about Shaurya, Rajeev spoke: By the way, you guys can relax now. Shaurya is very happy. I know he tortured u all a lot the entire week coz of dis meeting but now it's all fine. So u guys can heave a sigh of relief. And yes, if u want u guys can take a break of an hour coz Shaurya has gone out for another meeting. So enjoy!!!!

The moment Rajeev said that the entire staff was happy except of course Mehak. She wanted to talk to him desperately. Kunal and others started planning how to enjoy the 1 hour that they had got. It was very rare for them to get that break because "Grand Extension" was always bustling with customers which included a lot of high profile guests like politicians and foreign diplomats for its great Indian authentic cuisines.

Mehak's face fell on hearing that. She thought of calling Shaurya and talking to him but then she realized that it would be better if she talked to him in person. How would she understand his feelings over the phone? If she had waited for so long, she would wait for few more hours. With that explanation, she joined her colleagues.

The shift was over and Mehak still waited for Shaurya to return. At times, when she had to wait back to do extra hours, Shaurya would drop her home. Whenever Shaurya knew Mehak was waiting back, he would purposefully sit in his cabin doing extra work. He didn't trust her to reach home safely after what had happened when they were returning late night from the dhabba. Mehak too wouldn't ask him any questions. She would quietly sit in his car and leave for home. They wouldn't have any conversation throughout their journey but still alot would be spoken through their silence. They knew that both of them cared for each other's safety. And today too, Mehak thought that Shaurya would drop her home.

Shaurya was on his way to the hotel. The second meeting went really very long. He didn't get time to have his dinner but he wouldn't mind coz tomorrow was another big day for him. Mr. Jindal, one of London's famous steel magnate's elder daughter Raisha was getting married in the Udaipur Palace and Shaurya was to handle the food arrangements for all the occasions during the wedding. This wasn't new to him as he had managed a lot of high profile weddings but this was the ultimate one. Also, coz Mr. Jindal personally requested him to look over all the arrangements coz the expected guest list boasted of celebrities from India and UK.

When he reached the hotel, he went straight to his cabin talking to Rajeev on the phone. Mehak was coming from the opposite side. The moment she saw him, she was beaming with joy. She went running towards him to talk to him but since Shaurya was on the phone, he didn't notice her. He went inside his cabin and instructed his secretary to not allow anyone to enter unless he instructs her to do so.

When Mehak tried to enter his cabin, Shaurya's secretary told her that it was Shaurya's' orders to not allow anyone inside. Mehak had no other option but to leave from there.

One by one everyone left but she wanted to talk to him at least once. Just then her phone rang. It was Kaanta chachi. Mehak answered the call.

Kaanta chachi: Mehak where r u? Its 9 beta. Doesn't you shift end at 8? R u working late again? How many times have I told not to do late night shifts...par tum meri baat kabhi sunti nahi...

Mehak tried to pacify her chachi : Chachi aisa nahi hai...kuch kam aa gaya tha...

Kaanta chachi : Ha ha kam toh tum hi akele karti ho aur koi nahi hai kya tumhara us bade se hotel mein.

Mehak couldn't lie to her chachi and she couldn't wait for Shaurya anymore. It was really very late. May be Shaurya was really very busy.

Mehak : Ji chachi bas abhi nikal thi hoon. Bye.

With that, she cut the call and packed her bag. She had one last look at his cabin still hoping for him to come but that didn't happen. With a heavy heart, she left for home.

Shaurya saw Mehak leaving through the window of his cabin. He was trying to avoid her.

Shaurya thought : I am sorry Mehak...I cannot face you...I know I committed a mistake and I also know the fact that u won't forgive me...I don't know how long would I b able to do that.

Mehak was having her dinner when her phone rang. All the while she was thinking abut Shaurya and the kiss.. She knew that her restlessness wasn't one sided. Shaurya would be restless too to talk to her...so when her phone rang, she answered the call without seeing the caller's name.

Mehak ( happily): Hello...

Mehak was waiting to hear Shaurya's voice at the other end but ll her hopes were dashed when she heard the voice.

Jia : Hi Mehak... this is a reminder call for tomorrow's flight. You have to reach the airport at 6 on time.. We will give another reminder call in the morning. Please reach on time. Thank you.

Mehak ( sadly): Hmm..yeah

Mohit looked at her and said: Kiska call tha..n tum sad kyun hai itni?

Mehak : Nahi who hotel se tha...our supervisor...Reminder call for tomorrow's flight. I still haven't finished my packing.

Maansi chachi : Haa toh usme kya hai...hum hai na...we will do that ..Tu chinta mat kar...Sleep on time coz u have to get up early tomorrow for the flight.

Kaanta chachi : Ha Mehak...phataphat khaana khatam kar and phir hum packing karte hai.

Mehak nodded and continued having her dinner.

Mehak was really tired today. She was packing till the last minute. Had both her chachis not helped her, she would have definitely not been able to do it alone. She could handle the kitchen all by herself but not this.

Finally, after finishing everything she went to sleep checking her phone for any sms or pings from him but none.

Mehak: Akdu kahin ka...gadha..ek phone nahi kar sakta...phone na sahi but ek message...He is one nutcase...Ab so jaa Mehak...If by any chance I miss the flight tomorrow, toh aur koi nayi problem ho jaayegi...

With that, Mehak finally slept.

Next day :

Mehak bid good byes to everyone and left for the airport. The hotel had sent the car for her. Kaanta chachi had given her the permission to go to Udaipur only on the condition that she would call her after every 3 hours.

Mehak reached the airport and she joined her colleagues. All of them were very excited coz they would not only get to see the palace but also to be a part of such a grand big fat Indian wedding. Shaurya and Rajeev had selected their best staff for this wedding. They wouldn't dare take any chances with this. Shaurya and Rajeev had an afternoon flight. They would be traveling with Mr. Jindal and Aman, the groom.

Note : I know there isnt much of Shaurya and Mehak's interaction in dis part...Its sort of a filler for the climax...Sorry if i disappointed anybody...😳
