Episode 5 Seeing your loved ones injured to be restrained or reactive?
The trance of passion is broken, when Eylul opens her eyes to feel ashamed of her act. She makes a 12 midnight Cinderella like exit from the Gardens of Eden. Ali is left to guess her sudden change, the bag of inner mind is open with things strewn from memory. Now its Ali's job to fix the open mind because he cannot see his loved one in anxiety.
Finally the creatives give us a few monologues to know what is vexing Eylul. Looks like her mother was trapped in a one-sided love in her marriage which led to tensions between her parents. Is this why Eylul is commitment phobic?
The prince charming is resolved to find the fit of the glass shoe while he is interrupted to attend an emergency call.
Eylul reaches her bunker only to be interrogated by Esma. There is no bid deal with a kiss, but she her mind was racing elsewhere. Unable to bear Esma's wrath, Eylul throws the magic ointment case. Am sure she will hold on to it until the end like Fatima's talisman.
In the quest to know the base of the travesty, Serdar opens fire on Ziyanur. Both the assailant and victim are rushed.
Goals for a friendship day is shown a week earlier, when Suleyman pitches in to save is dear friend. His tactics seem to be old fashioned, until Selim provides his hand.
An emotionally high Bahar comes to Esma's caf to create a ruckus. The jungle cat fight was proof of what other scenarios Bahar's character can be used for. But a smart Esma records the history of Bahar's anecdotes.
A collected Ali, first attends to assailant. This is called Dharma in profession. But when he realizes the other patient is none other than is baba, Ali cannot be restrained anymore.
Serdar and Ziyanur are sustained for their injuries and are taken to emergencies. Flashbacks show a kid learning to know the death of his parents and maturing to an adult in no time was a good summary of Ali's psyche. With his sweet spot being hurt Ali sis no longer restrained and reacts to save his baba. Ali get the necessary assurance from Selim who watches the emotions unfolding. Will Selim use Ali's weakness to fulfil his wishes?
I have to make a special mention on the scenes here, which demonstrates actor's strength to change the body language, dilate pupil and dialogues which made us empathize with Ali. Take a bow Gokhan!!
Eylul drives to her old home to relive her dark days. The cause and effect fundamentals have been completely messed by Eylul. If she continues to restrict her emotions with a past case, her present will be effected. We need to hear the cork pop of her bottled emotions. In fact Ali should be first one to hear the pop.
Eylul doesn't take Ali's call which is inherent to hesitation to face him. Sometimes I wonder, if she has really grown up to handle such situations. Ten years have made her socially and economically stronger, emotionally she is still weak.
This habit of not taking Ali's calls also is a good excuse to bring in twists to the story when needed for a climax ?
Samet's animated wake-up, brings Eylul back to reality. She quickly corrects her actions by volunteering to perform the surgery. She cannot she loved ones being anxious. Oguz leads from the second. The colosseum is sold out, the gladiators are ready for action.
Taking a cue from the world map as jigsaw puzzle (the picture frame in their office), S&S try to solve their puzzle. Ziyanur doesn't fit the exit strategy, so it's got to be Serdar.
In a less travelled route, Bahar uses her degree, compassion and failures to genuinely help an accident party. But she could play a kids doctor-doctor game better!! Friendship day reveler cannot leave his friend Huseyin stranded. The reveler passes out into a dangerous fit for Bahar to be moved emergency. So are the creatives trying a makeover to Bahar's character?
Oguz upgrades his EA (Eylul Admiration) club membership from silver to gold. The operation is successful. A relieved Ali thanks Eylul with his signature hug and soaks himself to show how grateful he is. While most staff apply DND (Do not Disturb) tag and move on, Eylul is again very conscious of her act and restrains from any further interactions. When Selim objects, Ali puts a litmus test on love. I jumped with joy, when Ali warned Selim mildly.
Our episodic dosage of romance is 5-10 minutes, otherwise we show symptoms of love salt deficiency. Esma provides a picnic in the hospital garden (please imagine one, because the sky shots show a different landscape altogether) Uff what a scene. From a hug, to a kiss and now being the hottest laptop model, Ali closes his eyes to rejuvenate. He is looking forward for blissful married life with Eylul. And does she care about it? Oh yeah for a few crumbs on his face. ?
Bahar is traumatized with her accident. Sinan cannot see his loved princess in pain. He reacts to provide the best aide. A restrained Eylul helps her friend and colleague to sustenance.
Alp visits Esma to return the cherry dressing. Esma has drunk a love portion from Ali. She is smitten by Alp.
Ali meets his baba to know the truth. Ziyanur presses to drop charges on Serdar. Ali reacts but is restrained with baba's emotional aytachar (torture)
Ali increases is high mile points by another lift encounter with Eylul. A clever Ali protests to be left uncared for and asks if Mehmet is on her mind. Have you heard of competitor analysis anyone? ;-)
Mehmet proves that he is not a brawn without brains. His kindles Selim to invoke the vested interests in Eylul.
IMO this episode should have been titled "There is something about Eylul, the Turkish concoction of Mary.
Ali & Eylul visit to Ziyanur when a smitten Ali cannot take eyes off Eylul, and trained eyes of Ziyanur doesn't fail to recognize Ali's love interest.
Sinan walks into Serdar's ward to restrain him, because his loved ones are at stake. Loved ones = money & reputation. Serdar further reacts after losing his love one (his daughter) to name Eylul in the loop. Sinan cannot solve the puzzle with another piece added. He runs to his daddy-pad for more resources.
Mehmet drinks his day waiting for Eylul. Mehmet, the man Friday had helped the Eylul Crusoe find her resources.
Eylul is obligated every man in her life so far. It becomes a uphill task to repay the debt, because everyone wants to woo her. Whom will she choose? The havoc of cause and effect leaves Eylul have some "me time. Selim pops like a genie in the Turksish nights adaptation to help her resolve confusions let bygones, be bygones.
Ali also realizes that Eylul might be in danger after hearing to Serdar. He anxiously waits for her at the caf. Ali is happy with the results of competitive analysis, because he is the winner and his trophy is the empty magic ointment bottle. Their Taj Mahal. (and white too!!)
Eylul searches the bin for her talisman, Ali walks back to chide her. A hurt Eylul snaps back to show her scald. Her scars need Ali's perseverance and passion to cure.

Fatih has wet dreams on Bahar. If sweet dreams are made of these, who are we to disagree?
Oh she's such a cutie! 😆 But being motor mouth too, she made the situation even worse for her friend now. 😆
I wouldn't call their hug in lift as romantic one, because it was more of a platonic kind, as if Ali was craving to be with her for that particular moment, just to get out from those painful memories of his past.
And I loved the little smile Eylul had after the hug. 
Ali offers his shoulder for her to cry, does he somewhere feel guilty for not being with Eylul at the time of GulAyse's death? *just a thought*
His reaction about heartbeats was amusing though..
How he used the same excuse of his injured leg just to take support of her shoulders... Esmacim reflected my reaction on that! 
Man, isn't he taking good use of every opportunity to be around Eylul?
Doesn't she realize that being a doctor is not a joke? 
Instead of being serious about her profession, the only two things she does is- 1. Show up occasionally in front of Ali just to remind him about her love. 2. Be jealous of Eylul.
So the funny guy has faced some depressing days without his mother, and it was justifiable on his part if he tried to make that girl understand about how she'd be a horrible mother if she abandoned her child. But his reaction was priceless after he read her letter. Loved this entire track. :))
Really well directed scene. <3 The slow beginning, followed by Ali immersing himself in the moment along with pulling Eylul also in the rain, and their dance, everything seemed so beautiful. 
Then came the kiss, which marked the episode's ending but left me craving for more.
