Thanks DefLeppard.

There should be one thread for Sumru ji!

Sumru Yavrucuk is playing the character of Maryem.
She has played a important role in the Yabanci_Damat (Engin Craft's) first few dramas.
And she just looks the same...after 7 years apart.

@Shanaya
She reminds me Sameena Peerzada so much. Those "beta!" dialogues from ZGH. :)

Hello Everyone! 😊

I have been a silent reader here for the last 2 years. I am writing my review for the first time and I want to tell you that it is you people and your amazing writings/reviews/debates/discussions/in-depth analysis of every character, situation, and even birds (referring to dummy's guide ) that made me share my views too.

I have always loved Zindagi channel for telecasting good shows like ZGH, Malaal, Jackson Heights, Mere Humdum Mere Dost, and many more, but Fatmagul is just out of this world. 👏 When I saw the first promo of the show, I had absolutely no idea that it would be so Engrossing. Initially, I didn't watch the show with much interest and thought of it as a really boring drama, but I don't know how around 20th episode, I actually developed interest in it. Now I am so hooked to it that I even watch repeats and read your reviews everyday.

What I like the most about Fatmagul is that the characterization and expressions of every actor here is so real. Whether it is the leads, the supporting cast or the enemy clan, everyone acts beautifully. You love them or hate them, all for the right reasons. 👍🏼

Coming to the protagonists, Beren as Fatmagul and Engin as Kerim have truly won my heart. They look really good together. I am loving their chemistry and always look forward to more of their scenes together. ❤️ The pain in their eyes is so real that you actually feel for them. When they smile, you smile. When any of them cries, 😭 you feel like getting into the TV screen to give them a hug. 🤗 Or at least wish that they hug each other on your behalf. They are absolutely amazing, outstanding actors, not to forget, really good-looking too. ❤️ In the KFMRM family, I also like how Meryem acts as a mother-figure to everybody. I admire her because she not only supports Fatmagul in every situation, stands by her as a pillar and helps her heal so fast, but also shows the right path to Kerim and scolds Muqaddes for her wrong-doings. She is so brave and full of love and care. 👏

On the other hand, I hate Muqaddes and those villains (Mustafa, Erdogan, Selim, Vural, Risat and Munir "the shakuni mama"). I hate how even after getting into jail, Erdogan shows no sign of regret for the huge crime that he has committed. Same for Mustafa. He is concerned about his ego and making money the easy way. He never loved any woman from his heart, be it Fatma or Asu. At that time when he was supposed to stand by Fatmagul, he left her and never cared for what she was going through. Then he used Asu like a tissue paper. Now after seeing Fatma with Kerim, he realized that if Kerim can, why can't he be on her side, he is trying to leave no stone unturned to win her over again 😡. It's good that Fatmagul couldn't marry him, otherwise, her whole life would be a hell. Rest of the characters are also doing a great job whichever role they are playing. 👏

The background music, the locations and scenery of Turkey are a highlight of this show. As a viewer, you wish to visit Turkey at least once in your lifetime.

But what I absolutely am fond of is the Hindi dubbing. Although I agree with those who say that in Hindi the dialogues are slightly changed at certain points, but for those, like me, who are watching this show for the 1st time, it goes almost unnoticed. I love Kerim's voice, the most. The artist who dubs for him is such a talented person.⭐️ His voice suits Kerim's personality and he mostly portrays the right emotions through his voice, which makes viewing Kerim's scenes a great experience. 👍🏼 Fatma's voice no longer sounds childlike. I also like some of the phrases included during conversations in Hindi dubbing like "Abbe yaar", "toh kya laddoo baatoon", etc. These make me laugh so hard. 🤣

I must say that every episode is a treat to watch and every new twist keeps you on the edge of your seat. The direction, screenplay, story, dialogues, and camera angles, everything is so brilliant. The fast pace of storytelling makes it worth watching.

On top of that, reading all your reviews/discussions here on the forum, keeps holding my interest. I love how you people give a written update of every episode, then discuss and analyze it so thoroughly. I also enjoy reading the hilarious dummy's guide. 🤪

It's funny how I get to improve my English skills too because of your writings. 😆

So, I think I have written a lot for the first time. Hope you all like my review as much as I enjoy reading yours.

Keep posting! Happy Viewing! 😊

Did anyone notice that during last episode (68), how Mustafa waited eagerly to welcome Meltem in his new palace as if his love interest is coming to see him? When the bell rang, he first looked into the mirror and opened the door with such eagerness and smile thinking it was Meltem, but it was Yasar instead!

Then I observed that even Yasar's dialogue is so on point where he says whosoever Mustafa connects with, their lives are changed forever. This is true. Mustafa changed Fatmagul's life, and we all know how. Then he changed Asu's life by bringing her out of that world. Then he changed Yasar and Ismail's life and they got promotions. Now probably it's Meltem's turn.

PS: now we have 100 pages on Fatmagul DT#3. Time to party.

Congratulations on 100 pages!

I am surprised this show is not more popular. Why is Zee not advertising more? May be we will see some Indian version soon. That's probably why there is not much publicity.

When ZGH started Zee publicised widely. Is it the topic of FG that's making them go quiet?

@kamala2012: At ZGH time, Zindagi channel itself was new. So, Zee TV promoted Zindagi channel through ZGH, AunnZara ads. Then Humsafar was a huge hit and Fawad became hugely popular around that time in 2014 in India, so they promoted Humsafar too to garner more viewership for the show as well as the channel.
Now in over 2 years time, Zindagi channel has its own viewership Base and, probably, that's the reason Zee TV is no longer promoting Zindagi's shows. Instead Zindagi itself is promoting its shows now. In fact, they show a new fatmagul promo every week.

One question- can anyone give information on the actor playing the role of Meryem ma? I really like her acting. Is she well known in Turkey? The character of Meryem is very important for this story I feel, so they must have selected her carefully.

I also wish we had a thread to appreciate Beren Saat.

Her name is 'sumru yuvracuk'.
She is a class A tv actor. One of the big leagers. She played Engin's mother in law to be in 'yabanci damat' series which was the biggest hit from 2004 till 2007.

Yes she is very popular, very well known and well liked.

@Vidya Its beautiful as to how this show and its characters somewhere remind us both of ZGH! 🤗
I was about to point that out, that Meriyam reminds me so much of Rafia and Samina Peerzaada with her Beta dialogues. ❤️
These shows seem to have an uncanny connection. 😃

And Congrats For The Century Girls! 😆
