More than 24 hours after the teaser trailer release of Karan Johar's directorial comeback, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, it's all anyone can talk about in Bollywood. The upcoming film has managed to cast a spell like no previous Johar-directed feature.

Several major players from Bollywood have taken to social media to express love for the film. Shah Rukh Khan, who may or may not be playing a cameo in the upcoming love saga, called the teaser trailer "beautiful" while others such as Kabir Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Aamir Khan, Parineeti Chopra, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Sonam Kapoor also showered the film with affection.

According to Karan Johar, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan is essaying the role of an unappreciated poet in the film while Anushka Sharma will be seen in the avatar of a strong woman who comes from a dysfunctional family, a theme that was also seen in Johar's 2016 production, Kapoor & Sons.

Meanwhile websites in India are still swooning over Fawad Khan who makes two appearances in the trailer and still manages to hold his grown.

In the film, Khan will essay the role of a DJ which should come naturally to him given his years as a musician.

Johar, who seems to have taken a liking to the Pakistani superstar explained in one interview that Khan's role and the conflict he brought to the table are "critical" to the story and by extension, the film.

So though his role is small, it's not insignificant.

As for Fawad Khan fever, let's just say it isn't dying down anytime soon. More than a few websites have dedicated a fair amount of time on how Khan could steal the show from Ranbir Kapoor. Some sites have even gone onto suggest that the film's protagonist, played by one Ranbir Kapoor, has cleared up his schedule for the next two months so he can promote the film and envelop himself in "different avatars for the promotions" as a precaution to make sure Khan doesn't steal the limelight.

With such an elaborate cast and the amount of hysteria, gossip and acclaim the teaser trailer has created, there is little doubt that when the film comes out, it will be a hit. All signs point to it and this bodes extremely well for Fawad Khan whose last two releases were also hit(s).
