Unexpected intrusions of beauty! Life can really throw you in completely unpredicatable situations and you're left all but amazed by the end of it. This was how his life was right now.
As he looked back at all what had happened he was surprised that they made it this far and were here today.
He had gotten Rumaisa and Maham along with him today and he hoped he would be able to fulfill his responsibility and at least try to live up to their expectations, he vowed to himself.
Opening the door of his room the sight of a little Maham playing with her toys on the bed greeted him while Rumaisa was busy unpacking. On acknowledging his presence she gave him a small smile and continued the task at hand. She would get comfortable around slowly, he thought as he walked to the bed and Maham looked up at him with a toothy grin.
It felt like home, now!
The sight of her daughter curled up in her father's arm sleeping peacefully brought peace to Rumaisa's heart like no other.
She had never even in her wildest dreams ever thought that Zeeshan would take them along with him, let alone accept them whole heartedly but he had!
All that he had said to her, pointed out her mistakes, explained the kind of partner he wanted, told her to be herself! Everything, it had very silently tugged at her heart strings that she couldn't help but burst in tears!
Because she was being offered normalcy which had long left her life!
Heading over to the bed where her family lay now, she gently sat next to a sleeping Maham and caressed her hair while Zeeshan threw in a smile.
As she moved to get up Zeeshan looked up and questioned "Where are you going?"
A nervous Rumaisa fumbled with her words "I actually.." They had never shared a bed before and now when things had finally changed she din't know how and where to start.
Sensing her discomfort Zeeshan immediately said "Rumaisa, now that we have accepted each in all terms its time we started acting like that too don't you think?" He raised his one eyebrow in a suggestive manner while a slight smirk ruled his face. Rumaisa clearly getting his point nodded and smiled and switched off the lights.
Here, he said holding out a cup of coffee as he sat down next to her in their balcony. Gladly accepting her cup from her husband of 4 years now, she smiled and asked "Kids?"
"I knew that was coming, they're both fast asleep now and now we can have some time for ourselves." He said smiling as he wrapped his arm around her.
This was their routine, every night a little time for themselves. They would talk about anything and everything and watch the stars twinkle in the sky.
"You don't search for the morning star now, ive noticed." He said taking a sip.
"That's because ive found it." She smiled.
"You did?" He asked surprised. "Where is it?"
"Next to me." She replied as if it was the most obvious thing.
Not understanding at first he frowned in thought looking at her and it then hit him. Narrowing his eyes in a teasing fashion at his not so nave anymore wife.
"You came in just like a star and brightened up my life." She said tears forming in her eyes.
He felt he would explode any moment because of the happiness he was feeling right now at her confession. Pulling her closer as she gently laid her head on his shoulder with his arm wrapped around her they stared into the sky silently wishing that everyone in the world would find their morning star someday like they had.
Thanks for reading this crap though <3
