Exactly. He makes you wonder how does he even live with himself and as much as I dislike, I have to admit thats a wonderfully written character and the actor who plays him does a brilliant job. Even the lady who plays Muqqudas, her sly, vicious smile is soo wonderfully done by her. Vural is obviously just perfect!!

Yess! Erdogan is one devious man just like his uncle. Even the uncle is so good when it comes to acting. The ruthlessness is perfectly portrayed. And oh god! Muqqadas! She makes me feel how can a woman behave this way with another woman and that naughty-devious smile of hers!

@Shanaya- Thank you so much 🤗 Its a treat to read your reviews too, as most of the time our views happen to match! 😳 (This can be an advantage for me when I feel lazy to comment about an episode- I can copy paste yours 😆)

Now about Vural, I say that I feel bad for him but I never said that he's not a criminal and should not be punished...No matter how much he repents, it won't change the fact that he raped a girl... His repentence won't bring back everything to normal state for Fatmagul.
All I'm simply trying to say is that out of the three rapists, he is still a better person compared to Selim and Erdogan 'coz atleast he realizes what he has done... Unlike those two who are living as if nothing has happened. As Shanaya said that Selim has nothing to do except to be a puppet in Meltem's hands and Erdogan is a certified kamina.

I just feel frustrated on the people Vural lives around... his parents want to save him for the sake of their own reputation, his friends save him because they know that if he confesses his crime, those two will also get behind bars.

I've watched the original version and the rape scene would make us hate all those guys, even Kerim... But dunno why, I feel that if Erdogan and Selim weren't there, Vural would not have raped her and he alongwith with Kerim would simply tease/trouble her... Kerim held her first, but the way Erdogan and Selim dragged her, it was quite obvious that their intention was way too different from Kerim's and Vural's. 'Maybe' is just a thought here... Because before the incident whenever Vural/Kerim met Fatma, they simply teased her and it never gave me vibes that their intentions were wrong... I just feel that Selim and Erdogan are really having bad affect on him.

Oh and not to forget Bugra's acting skills... I can't help but sympathize with Vural because of the way Bugra portrays it! Hats off to him! ⭐️👏 His good looks are a bonus factor though Like many comments here I agree that the way his eyes express the guilt is something worth-compliment. The morning after that incident when the news broke out, I liked how Vural was the most disturbed one after Kerim and later admitted that he can't sleep peacefully! I also agree with the comment where a member said that we usually see the trauma of a rape-victim in such cases but rarely a rapists mind-set is shown... Either he behaves like Selim/Erdogan and lives his life without any guilt... But Vural is also a victim here, though of his own deeds! And this all is because Bugra has done complete justice to the character. 👍🏼

Now talking of today's episode, I loved it! ⭐️ I should compliment the way everything is directed, edited... I love how each scene is interconnected with one another...👏
Starting from Fatmagul, she seemed happy today, of course after Kerim told her that he got his visa and will be leaving soon. I liked how she replied to Ebe Nine that they all will be watching a 'drama' tonight at their landlord's place! 😆 And not to forget her happy-wife acting during the dinner too... 🤣

And now I'm asking, what's all this about Mukaddes's behavior? 😵 Why does she have to interfere in every single matter reated to Kerim? The way she walks and shakes her body just makes me hate her even more. 😵

Fatmagul's reaction after seeing Yasaran's news was well portrayed by Beren... It was a few seconds scene, yet I found her too good. ⭐️

Poor Erdogan... Should I really sympathize with this guy? 😕 Ek number ka kamina hai... The precap gives me quite negative vibes from him. Kuch na kuch toh chal raha ha iske dimaag mein! Why do I feel that he's hiring Vural for his own benefit? 😳 But I loved that Kerim called him to give his condolences despite their differences...Shows how good person he is... Though his goodness is never appreciated or returned back by his friends 😕

But the last part of precap was.. ❤️ Can't wait for it <3

I was sooo confused throughout the episode. Did Risat really feel bad for his brother or was it all just to avoid Erdogan's wrath in front of the minister? 🤔

in context to the crime and punishment in fatmagul and forgiving the rapist...
this show is different and unlike other Indian shows does not stop at showing rape and typecasting them as guiltless criminals...on the other hand it shows the impact of the incident on both the victim and the accuser...like Vurul is psychologically disturbed is on a road to self destruction...selim is scared and feels he is being followed by the crime- remember his reaction to mustafa...and Erdogan on the other hand I feel has a sense of guilt but is more on the other road of not caring of his conscience but is ready to stoop low to save himself (remember his dialogue to Vurul that he sees Fatmagul like a ghost and also had his way of how things will end, obviously from his perspective)

I am not saying they don't deserve to be punished...instead all four do...No matter how much I love Kerim (Engin)...but it is the complexity of the narrative that also leads one to sympathise with certain character or even appreciate others as the show allows the multifaceted portrayal of the characters and all the actors are brilliantly putting that forward

Brilliant 👏
I think this confusion over whether to sympathize or not also stems from the fact that we have always thought of rapists as monsters without feelings(they are monsters, they are!). This show has managed to humanize them and show us a side we have never really seen. Here each rapist is different from the other. Erdogan might somewhere be feeling guilt but he is able to ignore his crime and move ahead. He even tried justifying whatever happened saying all of them were 'high'.Salem also seems fine with everything but gets super uncomfortable and afraid around Mustafa. Vural is just not able to forget or ignore anything that has happened or is happening. He truly and openly repents and is on a path of self destruction and I think that is where we get caught off guard. We have never seen or heard a rapist acknowledging his crime. We have just never seen this side of the story. A side that perhaps we thought never existed.

I agree with you its the narration of these characters and the acting combination that are catching us off guard and making us go through these duality of opinions...
