U cannot be a frog in the well all your life. U have to move out. Films are a big deal for sure. I think the fan following that Fawad has amassed internationally is helping him a lot I see him do more than one Bollywood film unlike his routine back home where he worked less. I think fawad also understand now is the time to cash on the fame he has achieved in India.

so true sana ..
it would be so good if somebody would write something like that and cast him..
one of the major reasons why Fawad does not get offbeat stuffs or something thrilling and criminal is because of his good looks, his face is one of the major reasons why he is time and again offered love stories.. i pity him at times, because he wants to step out but he does not have much opportunities

Shreya, with Pakistani movies, there's a lack of fund. All the movies being made currently are being funded from the producers personal pocket. The industry is just starting to set up, so there's not much to look forward to at this point apart from the occasional good films coming here and there.

Yup thats what he exactly told on ndtv interview. But is the industry capable of making dexter or sherlock? Or is the audience back home is ready to see fawad in those roles? Do these shows have mass appeal? I dnt think so, moreover that production value is huge and revenue return is imp. So I dnt see him getting these roles. But hope one day scebario changes and he does what he wants.

As fans we must aim higher for the stars we like instead of wishing they remain confined to smaller things. I think thats why TV stars rarely succeed on the big screens, because their fans dont want to see them anywhere apart from small screens. But look at fans of other stars like say Ranveer/Varun/Arjun/SidM everyone is dreaming they get bigger blockbusters instead of wishing they do a BBB again. Anyways as far as Pakistani movies are concerned there are too few of them arent they?

It is problem with tv actor fans u want to see them do only tv and fans want to see them with their fav pairs and work together and do same stupid romantic rom coms again and again. Even if it is stale and boring.

You are right about Sushant he has spread his wings and aimed high and is bearing him fruit only recent tv actor doing mainstream Bollywood films and that too good ones.

Fawad has the very same potential and more fan following too am sure his fans would never want to see him tie down and do just dramas. I think he realizes though late he is aiming for bigger and better prospects in his career.

The Pakistani audience still reacts negatively to an on-screen hug, so something on the terms of shows like Sherlock or Dexter is far off 😆

I have a question- is pakistani film industry is also suffering from nepotism ie only ruked and governed by Shaan?

Another is there any truth that Fawad and hum tv owners had a fall out and thus not much there on professional terms?

its more about the audience will never accept him in such roles.. they want him only in evergreen lover boy roles.. Just how SRK is always tagged as the lover boy, which i feel as an actor has not allowed him to evolve, i do not want the same thing to happen with Fawad..
No wonder he does less work..
i really hope the scenario changes someday ..
otherwise its pretty easy to impress the fan in me, a 5 min cameo of my fav actor also satisfies me payal.. i do not demand or expect huge or path breaking stuffs from them, but again its hard to stay sane when he is signing a kind of khoobsurat again ..
