I think despite all the walls Kashaf had built around herself Zaroon had started to make an impact. I think this was the episode I started liking Fawad as an actor. His reaction to the library confrontation was mind blowing. It was as if he Kashaf would come in front of him that moment he would kill her. He was so ANGRY.

Zindagi Gulzar Hai brought back on demand

Written by Screen Correspondent | Mumbai | August 22, 2014 1:00 am

SUMMARY

Fans of the show made hysterical calls to bring back the show that went off air in July
The lead characters of the Pakistani show, Zindagi Gulzar Hai - Kashaf Murtaza and Zaroon Junaid played by Sanam Saeed and Fawad Khan respectively - made a deep impact on the Indian audience when the show aired on Zindagi. When the 26-episode series went off-air on July 18, the show was brought back on audience demand, forcing the channel to telecast it within a month. The telecast has now begun in the 7.10 pm slot.
Shailja Kejriwal, Chief Creative Head - Special Projects, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, who is helming Zindagi, remarks that within five days of the show going off-air, the channel received more than five-and-a-half lakh calls. "After that, we stopped counting," she quips as she informs that a dialogue has started between the youngsters of the two countries on the channel's official pages on the social networking sites. "This kind of euphoria hasn't generated earlier for a show or a channel and the feeling is really overwhelming," says Shailaja, who remarks that all the shows on air on Zindagi have an underlying message of feminism which would gradually start making an impact.
Priyanka Datta, Business Head, Zindagi said, "We are catering to those people who want to see natural acting over melodrama, meaningful finite stories shot in natural surroundings and some heartwarming music." http://indianexpress.com/article/entertainment/screen/zindagi-gulzar-hai-brought-back-on-demand/

Wooow 5 Lakh and odd calls😲 That is really something!!
I must say Zindagi is doing a great job! As a viewer here in India, i thoroughly enjoyed ZGH. For that matter all the serials airing on Zindagi are a breathe of fresh air. I never knew about Pak dramas being so amazing. Nor had any clue that they had such fantastic actors.

No offence , but the indian dailies are not upto the mark these days. The same old stories , the OTT characterization, melodramas are seriously annoying. there was nothing that interested me. At such a point, ZGH was like a blessing. 😳 Never has a serial in recent times been so true and so real that it touches your heart. ZGH was something different altogether😳 im glad the other Indian audiences think the same. And like fawad says, art has no boundary. and tis show changed my perspective towards a lot of things.
Hope Zindagi keeps up the good work!😊

The last episode (epi. 9) was one of the best if not the best episode of ZGH...it had everything. Zaroon Kashaf sweet interactions. I just couldn't get over how Zaroon kept pestering Kashaf to gv him her notes and Kashaf did not budge a bit nd finally I htought she gave in, but how rude of her to just stuff her books and move away!😲 🤣

Den of course Zaroon asking Kashaf her b'day and den the library showdown scene and then all d scenes nd musings were just excellent. And it's amazing dat dey pack in so much in just one episode.😳

OK guys didn't watch teh complete episode today, wl watch it tomorrow repeat. But here's my take on Zaroon finally agreeing to get engaged to Asmara, soon after d terrible showdown wid Kasahf in the library.

Zaroon's engagement to Asmara was a face saving exercise on Zaroon's part. It was also a shield of sorts against his having anything tht cld be construed as flirtation wid Kashaf as Kashaf had brutally cut him to size and a person like Zaroon with such a high opinion of himself as well as having such a big ego, could not let himself be embarrassed and made to look like a fool in front of his friends and classmate. And hence to show how little his attempts at flirting wid Kashaf mattered to him, he immediately hooked up wid Asmara. It was his way to show dat Kashaf really did not matter.

Also I believe dat he knew tht what he had said in the library was very low and he knew dat ppl knew dat, but he was really angry wid Kashaf for the things she had said and also maybe he was angry at himself for getting into such a situation. His ego did not allow him to apologize to Kashaf dis time nd to finally end the Kashaf chapter in his life, he got engaged to Asmara.

^You have said it so well.I liked your take, though I have nothing more to add but can say this.
It is definite that the reason of Zaroon getting engaged to Asmara was Kashaf only.He knew about how Asmara was not his ideal partner but still he engaged to her because of Kashaf.Shows how deep had Kashaf got into his mind that she somewhere governed his decision.

BTW I read a comment of yours in PSF forum on Sanam Saeed and I agree with each word of yours there. She is not conventionally beautiful like the girls having pretty faces but has different thing about her altogether.I noticed this while watching her in ZGH for the first time. She is beautiful in her own way.

Interesting take...hmm...it makes most sense too in terms of Zaroon's character.

Yes true Sanam isn't conventionally beautiful. But I wish dat in every show of hers she isn't referred to as the 'not beautiful' one. Beauty does lie in d eyes of the beholder after all.😆

I think not only Zaroon, but d others too seem to realize how much Kashaf is on Zaroon's mind. At various places nd at various times we hv seen dis mentioned by Sir Abrar, Asmara, Sara and Osama. And as Zaroon himself said tht she is in his thoughts, not in an interesting romantic way but as an irritationg puzzle dat he's trying to figure out. And dat sums it up very well.😉
