Zindagi Gulzar Hai: 5 reasons we will miss Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed's show!

Zindagi channel's Pakistani soap directed by Sultana Siddiqui under the Moomal Productions banner ends today
Fawad Khan (Zaroon Junaid) and Sanam Saeed's (Kashaf Murtaza) Zindagi Gulzar Hai concludes today. The show that premiered on June 23 for the Indian audience was not just entertaining, but of great production value. And with the last episode being aired tonight at 8pm, we give you five reasons why we will miss this serial.
Story: The story line is simple and yet layered. Where one can relate to the incidents and reactions of the actors. The makers have dealt with issues in an interesting way, which is neither idealistic nor extreme. The soap does not drag on to a particular instance in the characters life like in Hindi serials. The pace in particular is impressive, it is a relief to see a guy confess his love, propose marriage and get married in two episodes. Something that is rare here. It doesn't sensationalise issues or then use intimacy between the characters to grab eyeballs. A phenomenon that is common in Indian soaps today.
Sound track: Ali Zafar doles out a melodious popular theme song for the show that has a happy and upbeat feel to it. This song and the background score only adds to the story telling
Acting: The very good looking Fawad Khan who is all set to debut in Bollywood opposite Sonam Kapoor Khoobsurat manages to win us with his portrayal of Zaroor Junaid. He is not just a good looking elite guy, but an actor who can emote a variety of emotions. Sanam Saeed too fits her role to the T, she is progressive woman who has her head and heart in the right place and carries a baggage of her past. Even the supporting actors add to the story telling.
Dialogues: The writer of this soap definitely deserves a mention for getting characters to mouth dialogues that are real and something one uses in everyday life. Melodrama is certainly missing and that's a delight!
Costumes and props: Every actor on the show dresses as per his character sketch, be it the make-up or then costumes. So, if you saw a change in Kashaf's clothing post marriage, it was justified. That's not it, other props like mobile phones and the house interiors correspond to the social strata the character belongs to.
With the last episode airing tonight it will be replaced by another interesting soap Maat from tomorrow. Zindagi Gulzar Hai will be missed though!
