As Aunn Zara and Zindagi Gulzar Hai near completion - Zindagi channel has announced its next two shows: Maat and Noorpur Ki Rani. Of the two I think Maat is a better show. Would love to hear feedback and opinions about these shows from our friends who've already watched these shows.

well maat is obviosly better show the writer of maat is umera ahmad wo also wrote ZGH
and abt noorpur ki rani
i think its also good
its funny , its mysterious at some point
its good and sanam baloch acted really well

Hey what I see and hear of most serials from Pakistan - most of them are either written by women or directed by women if not both. Could this be one reason why they are far more progressive than the Indian ones?

Btw - when I looked at the wiki pages of both serials I liked the story of Maat too - just wish that the elder sister was not so much of a doormat to her husband and sister - would have loved for her to settle down with someone who really appreciated her

thats not a compulsion by the way 😆
yeah there are a lot female writers bcoz mostly plays are novel based but there are some good male writers also

like Khalil ur Rehman Qamar
and directors also like Sarmad Khoosat (Humsafar), haisam hussain(Aunn zara,Dastaan, Noorpur ki Rani)

I liked Aunn Zaara for its hilarious take on everyday situations - but then I would give the bigger credit to the writer - isn't that a woman?

And yes another big difference is that you have an identifiable Writer and Director associated with the shows. We have a team of wriiters/directors and nothing makes sense - because our serials do not follow a single vision - just a mob mentality. Too many cooks...

wait till you watch pyaray afzal its written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and the Dialouges are so beautiful you don't know which is more beautiful the hero or the dialouges...especially when he is saying them...
