hello dear...welcome 🤗
and I certainly agree with you👍🏼 I watched the full thing on YT and I totally understand what you are trying to say.
Zaroon is NOT a CHAUVINIST...it is proven moment after moment. His character is that of a typical guy...he is not the dominating kind. He is not the one who would ask his wife to sit at home and not do anything without his permission. He will not beat her if his wife does something against his whims and fancies.
Zaroon is just a guy who cares for his wife. He wants to be a part of her life and have a relation of equals. He wants his wife to be responsible towards everything she does---her home as well her career. If he demands a wife who is not only partying around and taking him for granted then we can't classify him as a CHAUVINIST but a guy who is just TYPICAL. He doesn't want his fiance or sister to get attention in a wrong manner. I remember Zaroon saying it in one of the starting episodes that the society we live in, males are never blamed. He never pointed out as to why this happens and whether this is wrong or not he just stated a fact and wants people associated with him to understand it. he doesn't wanna change the society or something...he just wants to live like one of them.

I agree with all of u.. he is not a male chauvinist... but he does have his moments...
in general he cares for the woman in his life and he wants to protect them.. See for his mom, Sara & Asmara they have lived a prvileged life with a dominating mother figure and a doormat like father figure / hubby... Zaroon's care and protection in this scenario will seem as an interference in their lives and understanding..
But for Rafia, Kashaf, Sidra and Shaneela.. they never had a previledged life nor a father figure... they had their mother protecting them from all the troubles..
In that case a protective male in your life is such a welcome change.. and mind it Kashaf is not a weak woman either.. he likes her for her strength in character.. her upbringing and her values ..
Having said all that.. there are men like Zaroon's dad who wud marry a Asmara or a sara ... and compromise..
and then there are Farhan's who dont and then end up divorsing..
So its all in the mind set and thats y i love this show.. how diff ppl have diff views ..

He's a complete male chauvinist to me. One with double standards.
Being protective about the women he cares for, asking them to be at home at "decent" hours doesn't fall under chauvinism.
What falls under chauvinism is his belief, that he can have a good time, but wants a wife with no past.
Exactly what Kashaf said to Abrar before Zaroon came in to meet her. That why can't she also want a man with a good clean background? How come a man never gives a woman to become a better person after marriage, but the man gets that chance? (what brilliant, completely true to life, food for thought dialogues! Bravo!!!)

These are chauvinistic double standards, that he has, that makes him a total MCP.
He went out for late nights with guys and girls. Those girls were also someone's daughter and sister. Did he not think about what the "servants" (I really dislike using this word) of their houses would think when they got home?
He has a set of standards for himself, and another for others. That's what makes him a chauvinist.
