All of his concerns are practical ones but nothing is from his heart. I think if he loved asmara then he would have compromised like his dad at least until the honeymoon period was over because he's not as patient or passive as his dad.

Lovely post as usual. I was also waiting yesterday for your post. But I guess real issues took over.

Now coming to the episode, yes the perception about marriage is also shown from two different view. Two protagonists having their own reasons and refusing the sacred bond of mateimony. But one thing is common that they are very clear about their opinions and equally vocal expressing own wish. Shows their confidence in own belief. Kashaf regarding marriage as evil as she has seen a broken marriage torturing 4 lives altogether. Zaroon on the other hand never considered Asmara as marriage prospect , may be thanks to her free spirited attirude which makes him uncomfortable as a man. He has his own expectations from his life partner and he wants to keep his options open at the moment and want yo concentrate on education. Fair enough from his poont of view though Asmara is getting hurt in the process as she has already imagined her nd zaroon as happily ever after. One thing I did not lije was her constant cribbing, come on have some self respect girl, the guy is saying clear cut that I am not ready to marry you at the moment but still you keep ranting. Give him and yourself the much needed space .

Zaroon and Kashaf did have this attraction for the longest period of time before realising it conciously. And it is so very beautifully portrayed with small small incidents and I must say its a yreat to watch. Zaroon caring for Asmara made Kashaf so uncomfortable that she was complaining to god. Lord have some mercy on this girl too. Their doary entries says a lot about their feelings and it was so brilliantly executed.

In the coming episodes this attraction will only grow stronger and sparks will fly woth more intensity. Shayad inme thaoda bahat dosti bhi ho jaye.

Till then just enjoy the ride.

Again thanks for the beautiful write up.

Thanks pinkeye, and interesting insight on Zaroon and Asmara. We identify so much with the lead pair, that at times we forget to consider the second lead altogether.

Asmara seems to have been given the impression by Zaroon himself that they are in a relationship. While she is able to take his multiple girl friends in her stride, she is also at some level insecure, and this refusal to get engaged to her seems to have made her question his commitment to her.

Zaroon on the other hand seems to be taking this rather lightly, and doesn't seem to have considered her feeling at all.

The man who is constantly fighting with his sister about taking her fianc for granted is guilty of the same when it comes to his girlfriend , but then that's what this story is about the double standards of our society when it comes to men and women !

Yes, Zaroon and kashaf are two of a kind - fiercely competitive, independent, strong, yet poles apart, and I wonder how Zaroon will handle kashaf, who never minces her words and has an indomitable spirit

Maybe not compromised like his dad, he is not passive, but maybe more respecting of an independent wife, than his dad. I hope Zaroon will turn out to be the like a man who genuinely respects and makes space for a working wife. I just hope his chauvinism will fade once he really falls in love with kashaf and he will love her for her independence and not inspite of it!
