Watched First Episode of ZGH again . As you all know that ZGH is my favorite contemporary Pak drama. The episode starts with Zaroon and Kashaf's soliloquies .Kashaf is writing in her diary in her dilapidated house, whereas Zaroon on his Mac. The stark difference in their social status and lifestyle is clearly established. Their views about the other sex are very intriguing . Zaroon thinks women are frail, stupid, selfish, stubborn and hypocrites. Kashaf is of the opinion th...at all mard are Khudgarz, Behis, makkar, bewafa, kameene. Kashaf's bitter and angry rants are juxtaposed against Zaroon's Lively and charming attitude towards life. Sanam Saeed brilliantly portrays the bitter, angry ,unsure ,insecure, frustrated and cynical kashaf to a hilt. Fawad Khan is awesome at flamboyant, charming, laid back rich boy. Kashaf thinks that life is a problem and you have to spend your whole life trying to solve it. Zaroon on the other hand thinks that Life is a beautiful and lovely package. ZGH is very real as we see people around us in those characters. Kashaf is a product of a broken home . She was raised by a hardworking righteous , single mother. Rafia is a woman of substance. The discussions at Kashaf's house revolve around harsh realities of life, Water , electricity, cost of living, house repairs, fixing of glasses, broken sandals. whereas in Zaroon's house all they talk about is concerts, parties , rash driving , outing, girl friends .Zaroon's parents though together are poles apart in their attitude towards life. Kashaf being the eldest daughter understands and remembers hardships better hence is very bitter. Farhan and Sarah: Issues already exist . I can totally understand Zaroon's character here , He has everything yet he knows that something is missing, he cannot be satisfied , he is always looking for challenges , he is looking for the elusive. Kashaf and Zaroon are indeed made for each other .
