Chapter 10 : Entering the Chakkar
Morning in Monu’s room:
Karan was walking in the room like a caged lion. Stopping in between to say something but couldn’t. Monu sat on bed making her cutest innocent face ever so that Karan will not be very much angry on her, fiddling with her fingers. Finally, Karan wrapped his brain around the current situation.
“So me tumhare taraf dhyan nei deta. Din raat bus kaam karata rehta hoo”
Monu wanted to divert his mind towards positive things “arey dekho na kal ek hi night me hume kitna information mila hai. Faizi and guys to ab kaam karenge unke sath”
But looks like he didn’t hear that he was stuck “tum mere sath dukhi ho and mere sath rehna unbearable hai?”
“But look at positive side! This mission is going towards successful execution! Trainers ke sath cadets are also performing good. Tumne itna accha train kiya unko ke they can take good decision on spot. Jaise mene liya Sid ne liya.” Monu tried to loosen up the tension.
Karan kept pacing up and down “Aur mera affair bhi hai chal raha kisi se?”
Now Monu had enough she stood up and went to Karan. Stops him from walking and grab both of his shoulders “Karan!!! Tumhe problem kya hai? Hume jo chahie tha wo hume mil gaya hai! Villa ki, us ladki ki and even wo goons ki mystery solved! Itna sab ho gaya hai and what are you thinking about? The lie I have said??”
That makes Karan come into senses “Huhh.. kya? Nahi… I mean haan. Haan of course good work. I don’t expect ke ek sath itna sab information mil ajega. Wo achanak se mere fake jindagi ke itne sare raaz mujhe pata chal gaye to confuse ho gaya. Ek to meri biwi ka affair chal raha hai and supposedly mera bhi. Mera to chalo secretary ke sath affair hai but tumhara ek gunde ke sath”
Karan still had a tint of bitterness to his voice, but he was pretty much controlled. Monu didn’t wanted to make it worst so didn’t pressed the topic ,
”waise bhi Karan script me to mera husband Faizi hi tha na, tum to last minute entry the”
The way Karan glared at her she soon realized she has made the matter worst by this, but to cover up she quickly says “Arey hume team se call lena tha na? hamara aage ka plan jo banana hai right?”
“Haan abhi yeh jada jaroori hai. Waise bhi yeh sab fake stories hai. Sach to kuch bhi nei hai. Sach me thodi tum mujhe aise reject karke kisike sath jaa rahi ho”
‘Tum khud ko samajha rahe ho ya mujhe’, Monu mutters.
“Kuch bola tumne?”
“Nahi Karan, let’s just have call”

Conference call :
Karan explains all the situation to teams and current information they have. Suddenly every line went mute.
“Hello…. Guys…. Kya hua. Karan ye awaz ani kyu band ho gayi? Call cut ho gaya kya?”, Monu asked.
Karan inhales deeply trying to control his anger,” Wo has rahe hai Monami! Mute pe jake”
Monu too tried to control her smile.
“Nei nei..tum bhi kyu control kar rei ho? Tum bhi phut pado! Guys agar apki bachkani harkate ho gayi ho to kaam kare. Sanju?”
Sanju quickly unmutes the line “Sorry sorry Sirjee! Aap batao aage ka plan!”
“Thank you. To ab hamara plan tabhi aage badhega jab Faizi,Sid and Bala Humein inside info denge. Uspe depend hoga hamara plan. Faizi kisine tumhe contact……”
Before he can continue his line Faizi’s phone rang.
“Karan, usi ka call hai. Ruko tum log baat karo me isse nipata ke ata hoon”
After having call Faizi briefs everyone.
“Guys hume jaldi hi steps uthane honge. Wo phone pe bol raha tha ki kuch maal yaha se bahar nikalna hai. Aaj ke aaj hi and paas wale ek gaav me shift karna hai raat ko. Wo jo Laxmi hai na and uska bhai unke gaav. Tabhi to wo ladki itna dar rei thi”
Everyone seems tense as the timeline they had just got shorted. Karan’s mind was all on the plan and next steps.
“Ok!ok! No problem. Plan to hai, but now it’s not only regarding the information, but samay hai action lene ka.”
Cadets knew what he was saying. The initial plan was to take cadets help only to get information and then trainers would act.
“Plan 2 stages me chalega, with 3 teams again. Pehle me and Premjee resort se bahar jaenge to our safe house. Mission ke liye jo cheese chahie wo lene along with Ustad jee and others. Bhai bhai thoda tehelne niklehai is reason se. Faizi, Sid and Bala tum log honge our inside men and will be their men unless and until I say so. Tum log hume join nahi karoge. And…..”
He turns towards Monu; he felt a mix of confidence and fear.
“Sanju, Monami , Chitra and Sumanjee tum char logonke paas hai thoda ajeeb kaam. Tum logonka karana hai Kidnapping”
Monu stares at Karan in disbelief.
“Karan, ye kya keh rahe ho? Kiska kidnap?”
“Wo Spa wali ladki Laxmi. She knows more that she is letting on. Usse hume input chahie regarding her brother , unka gaav etc”
Monu notices one fault in the plan,” But Karan agar wo Laxmi gayab ho jaegi to shak nei hoga kya?”
“Haan jaroor hoga!”, Karan smiling looking at his Smart Monami.
“To? To kaise hoga?”
“Hum fayda uthaenge mask policy ka. Every employee is wearing mask. We would replace her with someone”
“Par kaun…”
Before they can finish the call, they hear loud voice outside.
“UFFFF such losers! You know how expensive this bag is? And you are dragging it like a dead body!”
Karan smiles.
“bohot awaze aa rei hai na bahar jara sab jhakake dekho to kaun hai”
“Karan magar… “
Before Faizi can say anything, Karan stood up and went towards door. Hearing that everybody goes to their door and opens it.
There was one girl scolding the bell boy. The bell boy was looking down at the floor.
“Now leave, I can open the door by myself and let myself in.”
As she turns to grab her bag, Koel notices everyone looking at her with open mouth.
She gives them fleeting smile and went inside. Everybody turns towards their own room, Faizi who was trying hard to mask his proud smile looking at Koel lingers at door frame before going in.
As all went back to their room and again on conference call, Karan adds Koel.
“Welcome back Koel! And isse accha mauka nei hai for you to be part of Mission Ghanchakkar!”
“Thanks Sir! I am happy I could be of any help! Aur mere bina Mission aise kaise hoga!”
“To Koel hogi Laxmi ki backup. She would go in as client and would stay there as Laxmi. Sanju”
“Jee Sirjee”
“Ye Laxmi ko kaise waha se niklne hai Koel ko kaise in karana hai. It’s up to you! You would lead this!”
“Jee Sir jee”
“Premjee I will come to your room by afternoon and then we will leave”
“Jee Sir”
“All the cadets will stay in their respective rooms after evening when our mission starts. We would not be in touch till any one of the Trainers call you. Jab hum andar jaenge Bala and Sid you must retreat to hotel rooms Me Ustad jee aur baki trainers will start the mission.”
“Okay then! I guess you guys are clear on what we need todo. Are you guys ready?”
“Yes sir”, it was such a weak response.
“Kya hua? So gaye kya sab! I asked are you guys ready?”
“Karan Sirjee, Kya Sumanjee aur baki sab bhi apke sath nei aa sakte? Hum bhi madat karna chahte hai”
“Haa Karan Sirjee hum bhi aapke sath andar jana chahte hai”, Louds Bala.
Karan sighs and looks at Monu. And he knew she was also thinking same.
“Nahi Sumanjee, Batra sir ka order hai that no cadet will get involve in mission. Aur ye itna sidha sadha mission nei hai. We are going blind in there. Hume nei pata kya security hai , kitne log hai. Armed hai wo kis had tak. Agar tum sab logonko leke jaenge then it would be extra responsibility for trainers. We can’t afford to be distracted”
There was dead silence. Karan knew they were disheartened.
“But already you have helped the mission. Agar yeh itna information bhi nahi milta to hum to phirse usko miss kar dete. Pata nahi phir kab humare pakad me ate wo. And Laxmi se information niklne and back-end teamse co-ordinate karna regarding this is not easy task. You must manage that. OkI guess everybody knows their task. So best of luck team and get going!”
“All the best sir!”
Karan can only hear but he could sense the enthu, nervousness and even proud in their voice. My cadets! He thought and smiled to himself.

Monu’s room:
Karan was packing all the things he would need before he leaves. He was scanning the blueprint of resort and drawing some plans on blank paper. From corner of his eyes, he can see Monu stealing glances at him.
“Kuch bolna hai to bol do, pet me rakhogi baat to pet dard hoga”
Monu stood up and approached Karan carefully, “ Wo bus Laxmipe nazar rakhne ke liye 7 log jaroori hai kya? I mean kuch log yaha ruk ke kuch log tum logonke sath ja sakte hai na. I mean not inside but bahar ruk ke can keep eye!”
Karan drops the plans, “Monami tum… “
“At least Bala and Sid ko rehna do waha. Wo waise bhi andar hi honge. Sid has been through one such mission already and Bala to you know sambhal lega”
“I know Monami but yehi mission pe pehle Sid ke sath kya hua tha pata hai na? And you still want me mein ye risk lu? And we already have a team from Parakram. Agar jaroorat padi to you would be on stand-by isi liye to I want you all to be in touch with back-end team”
Monu knew Karan was right, they have been assigned a part to play in this mission by commanding officer and they should follow it.
Monu sits beside Karan “Yes you are right. Khamakha nuisance create hoga agar too many people honge”
Karan raises his one eyebrow, “ Wow, Cadet Monami Mahajan ekbaar me maan gayi? That’s new!”
Monu makes a boring face ,” Jab baat right hoti hai maan leti hoo me. And depends on samne wala kis tarah se samjha raha hai”
Smiling Karan wraps up the paper plans looks at Monu, “To me chalata hoo. Ab hum mostly mission ke baad hi milenge”
And it suddenly strikes Monu that after Karan leaves the room now, he won’t be returning soon. He will go to safe house then to the villas to do the mission and when that ends, he will come back. He will not behaving any contact with them meanwhile.
“Karan…” Monu calls out with shivering voice.
The last time they had this moment was the mission when he went missing. And both went through hell after that. Monu was scared, she didn’t want to show him, but he knew. The way her lips were trembling
.
Dropping the bag on bed he approached her. She stood there doing nothing, neither moving away nor coming towards him. He slowly put his arms around her, she didn’t resist. And slowly hugged him back, resting her head on his chest.
“It’s okay Monami, sab thik ho jaega. I have all the trainers with me akela nei ja raha hoo. Aur hume yeh mission successful karna hi hoga”
“hmmmm “ She mumbled.
He slowly pulls her away , grabbing his bags again “ Waise Happy Kidnapping, enjoy the experience!” he said smiling.
That made her smile too, and that’s what he needed before he goes for mission. His smiling Raani Sahiba looking at him with love and care in her eyes.

Jhingoor boys :
Faizi looks at his watch , “4 baj gaye hai. Un dono ne Humein4 baje bulaya tha yaha ye kaha reh gaye?”
Faizi, Bala and Sid all were waiting for the goon at entrance of Villa. He was about to call them when the girl from Spa , Laxmi , approaches them.
“Suniye, mujhe aap ko ye note dene bheja gaya hai”, she said with tension in her voice. She looked scared, and quickly hand over the note to Faizi and run away.
Bala looks at Laxmi ,” Bhai mereko bohot bura lag raha hai.Bechari pehle se hi daari hui hai and uske sath ab jo hoga…. “
“Balajee bro, Focus!!!!!” , Sid slaps Bala on shoulder.
Faizi reads the note.
“Hume bulaya hai Villas number 2 ke andar and bola hai aneke baad bolna Rajesh bhai ne bulaya hai. Wo dono andar hi hai and is note ko dene bola hai”
With determination on their face they goes inside. A guard stops them “O bhai kaha chal diya? Yeh private property hai”
Faizi hand overs the note to guard, he looks at all 3 of them head to toe and let them enter.
Inside Villa the light was entirely low, bare minimum so that they can see. Everybody inside were in hurry and running from one room to another.
“Faizi Sirjee, yaha kuch to locha chal raha hai. Itni hadbadi kyu hai?” , Bala asks.
“Sahi keh rahe ho kuch mamala sangeen lag raha”
“BROOOO…………… look at that”
Sid points towards one room where there were lots of creates were being stuffed with some packets. Faizi look carefully at crates.
“Drugs. Drugs hai wo. Hamare ankho ke samne hai but hum kuch nei kar sakte. Mission ke safety ke liye humne cameras aur mics nei lagaye hai.Photo khichna khatarese khali nei hai yaha”
“Sirjee ab kya kare?”
Before they can do anything the goon from the resort comes.
“Wah aa gaye. Sahi time pe aye ho. Ab hamare pass jada time nei hai. Cheeze jaise sochi thi usse jada fast ho gayi hai. Jada time nei hai mere pass batane ke liye aur tum logonka janana bhi jarroti nei hai.”
He ushers them in the room where all packed up create were ready.
“Ye crates dekh rahe ho? Inko uthana hai and shanti se back gate pe jo truck hai uspe load karna hai”
“Par ye kya hai and kaha leke jana hai isko?” Faizi asks.
“aaah aaa… sawal nei. Yaha se aage jane ke liye ek hi shart…No Questions. Agar ek aur bhi sawal aya to tum log yaha se bahar.”
Faizi nods.
“Tum teeno alag alag rooms me jaoge. Tum ghungarale baal tu packages banane wale room me. Tum single pasali mere sath truck ke yaha. Aur tum chhammakchallo ke ashiq , tum yeh crates uthane wale team me”
Saying this he dragged Bala along with him. This was not part of plan, all three of them getting separated. Faizi had bad feeling about what going to happen, and this was just start of it.
