For a change i like this,, monami calling karan tum and him calling her Aap ,,,,, at first i was little surprised usually on ITV ML gets this title like.. Mr, sir, Aap but here monami calling karan tum nd karan calling her Aap looks nice 👍 And his Rani sahiba is also nice

Namaste,

I would like to differ here.

Connotations such as these may be localised or time bound. By that I mean, I have not noticed any such disparity in regional television (for that matter even Hindi television). Besides, over many years, ways of addressing has changed.

English can get away because of the nature of the language that normalises "You" across age, gender, rank etc..


As pointed out by many on the forum:


In this case, "do baatein😉"

1. Karan is an Army man. Etiquettes are his skin.

2. This addressal by a recruit towards their instructor is not acceptable regardless of gender amd for that matter age.


As for their acting, the cast is filled with "manjhe hue kalakaar" who fill the screen by their presence.

I like the tum too. But maybe she can call him aap when he’s wearing the uniform and is her trainer. Tum when he’s not wearing his uniform.
