Some Good Tips for the Ladies Team.

Hello Everyone and Happy Independence Day b/c it's Aug 15th!

I think that the ladies dance team would do much better if they do more unique dance forms.

Firstly, they need to work on their team building skills. The boys are a big family and they get along so well and they dance together and that is why they win all of the team dances. Also, they have great team spirit because everytime a guy dances well they all give him standing ovations. This might be out of a big ego or a superiority complex, but the boys clap hard everytime someone from their own team dances. If they girls gave their own team members a standing ovation, it would boost the confidence level of their own members.

Secondly, all of the boys teams has really good dancers, however the ladies team does not have all competent dancers. Most of the ladies are good, however Rupali Ganguly and Karishma Tanna need to get their act together. They have danced the minimum number of times and they either need to step up their act or get better dance training. I see all of the girls dance a lot except for these girls and it looks bad on the ladies' team and just shows everyone else that Rupali and Karishma are bad dancers.

Thirdly, the girls need more variety in their dances. The women need to put more international dancing styles into their performances. The audience and the boys and judges have seen enough of Indian and bollywood dances and see this type of dancing everyday. If the girls show more unique dance forms the judges will give them higher points and the girls are capable of learning and dancing to newer dance forms.

Some dances they should do are spanish styles, such as a mix of salsa, merengue, bachata, zumba, and the flameco would be a treat for everyone. Also, there are dances from other parts of India such as Garba from Gujarat and they could do a group Garba dance, that would totally bring down the house or even a group bhangra performance. Dances from Thailand, Philipines are also very slow and unique. Even different types of American dancing are great, modern as well as traditional. If the trainers do research on different world dances they can find a lot on other sites. All the judges want is variety and you get variety from world music.

The one of the girls, preferably Jennifer Winget, should dance to Chaiya Chaiya, that would really impress Malaika, since it is her song.

I am saying all of this because I am a dancer and I teach and choreograph dances. I've danced to many international dance forms so I am recommending this to the ladies. Hopefully they will improve their song selection and they are pretty well darn able to do this and beat the boys!

WOW i agree with you totally, the girls team performance is very lacking in coordination and there isn't a sense of team spirit in them. they are over using mouni which is a treat for us to watch but isn't the best strategy for the game.
Also the little girl could be used more cutely like the boys are using their little boy. the little girl is also made to look like an adult and all her cuteness is left out, this is one more thing they can do to impove their performances.
I'm supporting the girls teams and would like to see them do better and stand up for their team mates more and support them well. lets hope it works out that way

Hi Mansi,
Firstly good to see another choreographer/teacher! 😊
Secondly I don't agree on your view for the girls...
The girls have the most team spirit just because they don't get up and show it all off does not mean a thing. Like they've proven on the show they know more about each other than the guys know about their group members...so I don't think the girls out of all people need to work on teamwork!
Next girls genuinely clap because they clap for their team members and for the boys...they aren't biased and they don't show off either...I'm not saying boys are biased...but it's rarely seen that boys are clapping for the girls and that too without mocking them. 😳
Next from where do you make the judgement that Karishma and Rupali are "bad dancers"??????? I myself am a choreographer and a choreographer never says things like that...at least I don't even think that way...a choreographer's job is to make even a non-dancer dance well! For a choreographer and teacher a "bad" dancer does not exist....And seriouisly speaking Rupali did the act as a boy on her knees!!! She has much potential as a dancer..her Aaja nachle act was also very good...her expressions are very good as well. As for Karishma Tanna...she is also a very very good dancer...her number with Mouni on Aashiqui main teri was brilliant!
Next I think like the guys the girls also have VERY GOOD DANCERS!
Next I think the girls have done the most variety in their dance...they have different attire, steps, and styles in their dances....they not only do bollywood, but they have played with different concepts, which also means variety...if you look at it the dance styles you've named can most perfectly be done with boys and girls together. latin dancing is known for couples dancing. Also if you suggest them doing international dancing, which they have done..why are you suggesting garba and Indian dancing than? I mean both girls and boys have done a lot of variety...tjust because they are exploring more of their own country, while the guys are exploring more of western dances does NOT mean there isn't any variety! I think judgements that think Indian dances means no variety should stop being made...Indian dances in itself are a mix of cultures and that's what makes the dances SO beautiful!
I don't think song selection is clearly up to the girls, it's also upto the choreographers and channel. I think since this show is FUn it should be enjoyed to the fullest! I think girls have done a lot of variety..they've done popping & locking, bhangra, ballroom style dancing, bollywood, contempry, khatak, bharat natayam, and basic indian/western fusion dance steps. And like I said variety doesn't mean only world music...when you have a country with such a big mix of cultures, why can't variety be seen in your own country???
I think boys and girls are doing a fab. job.👏..after their bhoot dance they(girls) have proven that they can also do really well in group performances!

Hi Mansi, I TOTALLY agree with you, the girls have a lot of team spirit and work together as a team at all times, and as for different dancing there have been variety of dancing.. you have basically said what i wanted to say... both the teams are doing great, and the girls aren't any less to the boys.. 😊

Thanks for the feedback ladies!

But popping and locking doesn't really impress me b/c i went to school with kids who did this type of stuff and it's an everyday thing for me so it does not really amaze me when they do popping and locking because i have seen really good dance sequences so the one they performed wasn't the best thing out there.

They need to focus on spanish styles b/c it's not everyday you get to see people dancing to salsa, or flameco. The judges will be amazed.

^^^^ but why impress judges, who aren't fit to even be judges of dance????

I think the dance styles they are doing is impressive enough..nothing should be changed except the judges.😆
